There has been little to suggest that the club has moved away from its position of ‘Pay as you go’ format . No big transfers only big wage clear outs . Those players that have stayed were responsible for throwing away a title win the previous season and left many points on the pitch from winning positions last season. Lack of a Club voice is poor and for expectations , only the usual sound bites from the manager ( what else would he say other than promotion is his target) leaves me feeling cold as to the possible long term achievement, particularly when you factor in John Marquis is starting to get noticed and loosing him would derail the start of any season , no matter the fee. I hope for a positive start so at least to focus fans on the new regime .

And those players that left were just as responsible...

Very good article that, Alias, and well written. I was a bit surprised you didn't mention Anderson when talking about our centre back situation, as I feel that when we play very big sides that specialise in set pieces, similar to Rotherham, Tom might be essential.

Thanks Steve, I always try my best to represent an honest fan's view in these things.

Funnily enough when I showed my old man the article today he said the exact same thing about Anderson. I just didn't want to end up rambling so didn't go into his addition but I'm happy with the signing.
