Can the club ban them asap!! They destroyed every ounce of atmosphere!!
-
Sack the Kitson.

I was expecting a few kids coming out of the stadium with the hooters stuck up their @rses.

Nah I waited until I got home for the child abuse to commence, firmly up his shite pipe now though.
-
Tininnitus at least I think that's what I've got now- bloody horrible things .
Trying not to be mardy but goal celebrations were lost and Christ our supporters find it hard to get going at the best of times but they had no chance today.

And VSC post of the week goes to......
-
We complain about there being no atmosphere in the ground and it was only kids having fun, stop them and you could put the kids off the club leave them alone and they will stop in time

In our House that would not make a difference - in fact it might get more blows !

Vuvezelas 1 Black Bank 0.
-
My 1st visit to the Keepmoat this season but my 3rd overall im putting in a claim for industrial deafness 1st thing Monday .
My ear's are bleeding from the noise today should be banned......
-
Very Annoying
-
I actually thought they added to the atmosphere for a change , then a gain i only had to contend with 1 and that was about 20 yards away. :)
-
Yeah, a relentless pitchless drone adds a great deal to the atmosphere.

It works for Coldplay
-
one minute people are complaining about the lack of noise and now its to much? get a grip.
-
Black bank been rubbish all season.
-
The drummer and the rest of the crew up there just go to sleep or start playing with their phones. They're there to make noise so get on with it!
-
Aye. It will be rubbish if people don't get involved and join in with songs. The Black Bank are the people, not some mysterious entity. Half the people moan about atmosphere yet are content to sit on their hands and keep quiet all game.
-
That's a fair point RedJ, but the drummer is there to lead and he didn't appear to be doing enough today. Sometimes it must be a thankless task but he's got to be persistent.
-
But there's more to it than just the drummer. Even if he does drum well, if people can't be arsed joining in with chanting then it's just gonna be him banging his drum all afternoon. I don't think it is his job to lead for 90 minutes. I think there has to be an element of the crowd making a bit of noise and the drum supporting it. But people just can't be arsed to do anything other than whinge about the lack of atmosphere, completely missing the fact that they themselves have done nothing to help.
-
I actually thought that the vuvuzaylers added to the atmosphere in the ground.
It would have been very quiet otherwise, except for when the goals went in.
-
If you watch the highlights you can hear them in the background plus GM and Danny Andrew both mentioned them in a fairly positive way when asked about them
-
Remember the old days when folk used to chant spontaneously?
Christ I feel old.

I agree. We were laughing about the horns but actually I think they were fine - they added to the atmosphere.
It was a bit like being at the San Siro........

Moaning set of old b******s you are! Did you not have a football rattle when you went as a nipper? I did and nearly had that shoved up my arse a few times. I sat in the family section yesterday with my granddaughter and was surrounded by them, it was a right din constantly but I actually loved it. Don't think I'd want it every week though.
Had to laugh, walking away from the ground there was a thirty something bloke just in front of me and a nipper a few yards away still blowing his 'zela. Bloke twice threatened to shove it up his arse, and he actually meant it
-
In some respects I would prefer we could play badly and lose a game of football, so we would have something real to criticise..
Too much noise, shit goalie - we won yesterday didn’t we.?

Good Point
Football Rattles were very noisy and we loved them ! Dont know about the old folks of the time of the time though and I cant ask any !
Heres Jimmy Armfield with just ONE ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5O4REL2OkA
Good thing with the Horns are they probably will be "lost" by their owners between now and the next Game !

Don't recall many people complaining about the Wembley atmosphere when there were horns going off constantly.
Sure, it's a bit annoying in a confined space like the BVB, but in the stadium no problems at all and let the young uns make some noise. Or would you rather have flares being let off?
A bit of tolerance ladies and gents, it's relatively harmless fun.
-
Sorry.
It was me handing them out to the kids.
I thought they were a good laugh, and if the kids are having fun, then hopefully they’ll keep coming.

.... and Stoke as well
Flares v Horns no contest. Horns especially as I was most unaffected over in West !
-
I hate them. Just blown incessantly, it does nothing for the atmosphere in my opinion.

Can you get some more for the next home game please.

People are complaining about them, never mind putting them in a band.
It would have been like a library if there hadn’t been any on Saturday.

there was no point trying to get any songs going, you couldn't hear them over the drone...

I didn’t even see the drone, let alone hear it.

My eight-year-old lad had a vuvuzela on Saturday and it added to his enjoyment of the match. It'll not be coming back with him next time but for a one-off initiative it's a relatively harmless way of getting kids more involved in the club so well worth a little bit of annoying noise.

This.
Some of us are committed to trying to get the Black Bank back to the level it was. It's going to take some time and anyone that wants to get actively involved is more than welcome to.
