Genuine question - is your keyboard broken? Seems like every time you use punctuation there’s an additional full stop in there! (Or should I say I’m there.!)

Grammar, syntax and punctuation are all over the place on this thread, bit like Calder's position when he played for Rovers.

We of course know his exact position for the next 9 months now. Nasty what he's been found guilty of doing here, good riddance.

Shit player and, as it turns out, a scumbag as well.

I still can’t work out what Ferguson was thinking re-signing him in the summer of 2016 when he’d looked absolutely garbage in our relegation season.

Always amazes me the lengths people go to defend footballers, all over social mesia are people defending Calder, when jsssica ennis said she didnt want her name associated with ched evans she was sent death threats and the like.  The lass in the adam johnson case was given death threats as well as having her name released on the internet.

Even at our own club, when copps was banned from every race course in the UK, people were still keen to present him as a saint.

German

There's the problem. We want our heroes to be flawless and the Others to be bas**rds.

Needs a little bit of honesty from all of us. If we make excuses for bas**rds on our side, we've lost the right to be on the moral high horse with the lads on the other side.

With the Jessica Ennis case, she disassociated herself with Ched Evans because he was a rapist; now that he's not a rapist, I haven't heard a public apology from her for deformation of character.

I personally am sick of all these rich, super-hyped sports and showbusiness people taking the moral high ground on everything, and thinking they represent ordinary working class people with their views; they don't represent me, I can think for myself.

I don’t think Jessica Ennis has anything to apologise to Ched Evans for. At best he showed a complete disregard and disrespect to the woman herself and to his wife / girlfriend at the time. I know he’s not the only one to behave like that, but I don’t think he comes out of it with any particular credit regardless of any legal determination.

Some fascinating insights into people's values.

Chef Evans WAS, for a period, a convicted rapist.

The fact that the conviction was later overturned doesn't change that fact.

At the time that he was legally a convicted rapist, there were rumours that Sheffield United were going to re-sign him.

Jessica Ennis said publicly that she wanted no connection with the club if they did that.

How you get from those facts to concluding that she should make a public apology, or that stuck up liberal celebrities are sticking it to the working classes, God alone knows.

I'll tell you how Billy, because unlike you, I'm not star struck. I don't give a f*ck for the opinions of rich, famous people and their moralising; they don't have to live in the real world like the rest of us, and they're not better than me as human beings.
