That's almost all down to Marquis and Wilks. They were right at the top of the total shots and shot accuracy figures all last season.

It is just as much down to the service provided then by their team mates, to be fair.

We scored fewer goals than both Portsmouth and Sunderland, yet we had materially more shots. In particular look at Sunderland, who scored 80 goals (to our 76) yet we were way in front on shots. Perhaps more excitement for us, but they were a lot more efficient with their chances.

I remember seeing something that had Alfie May as the player with the most shots per minute on the pitch in League One, followed by Marquis.

Slightly wrong he has the highest xG in the league per 90. This was from Feb/March time. Probably explains why Grant likes him but him shooting in good areas and not getting goals is a telling sign.

Just shows how stats can sometimes be slightly misleading .

Our Thiam is very high on that graph and yet he's probably the most frustrating player we have at the club .

Mowatt and McGeehan are far more consistent and yet don't appear anywhere .
