Tonight’s team sheet:
-
Grimsby have put out a mixture of reserve and youth according to their fans so should have a good chance of going through
-
Strong side. Would love Ennis to open his accout tonight.
-
Yes, we would like all of them who haven't had much game time to show what they can do.
-
A good opportunity for Crawford, Blair and Kiwomya to show what they can do having not featured too much so far.
Also chance to have a good look at Ennis and John and see what they can do
-
Hope kiwomya can step up and show that he can be a real part of the team this season
-
Surprised Taylor didn’t get a start
-
Grimsby have made 7 changes from Saturday and we have made 6.
Glad to see that big lump Hanson has been rested.
-
Rotherham 2 up after 2mins.
-
Just listening. Scored one then scored again from the kick off.
-
Hull 2 up also...
-
Good afternoon everyone. Make no mistake Grimsby will want to put one over us. I predict a draw in normal time and us winning the penalty shoot out.
-
Following our game on here whilst watching the Class of '92 vs No Class on Sky..
-
2 efforts on goal for Rovers. Kiwomya shots over and shot from Whiteman over the bar too.
-
According to the BBC, it's all Rovers at the moment.
-
According to RS Rovers in the ascendency with 4 efforts now.
-
I'm expecting Ennis to be a major star for us this season. Glad to see he starts.
-
Three shots by Whiteman so far, all off target but a promising development.
-
It's raining shots at the mo with more efforts from Sadlier, John, and Halliday...
-
26 mins. 8 shots to nil. 1 on target.
-
We need to make our dominance pay though.
-
Sound on ifollow is shit

Any updates from those listening would be welcome. Text commentary is very slow and emotionless!!

-
1 down
-
Damn me, all that pressure and we let them score!
-
Ffs. First shot from Grimsby.
-
Let them
-
1 down
So we didn’t make our dominance pay then.
-
Typical
-
Surprise surprise, theres a goal and ifollow goes off again
-
1st shot goes in , nothing new then.
-
2 more shots saved.
-
Just not gonna happen it seems tonight
Come on rovers
-
Chance to see if the teams got the character to come back.
-
13 Shots 1 on target , just wait til we get a striker.
-
Yes, sounds like a lack of composure with some of these efforts.
-
13 Shots 1 on target , just wait til we get a striker.
Not sure that’s correct when their goalie has saved 3?

Just using the BBC stats.
-
Shots on target but blocked by a defender don’t count as on target in the stats either.
-
Text is so unreliable. Didn't even report an early effort from Sadlier.
Barnsley in the same boat. All the play and efforts. Also one down.
-
Chance to see if the teams got the character to come back.
We have in the two league fixtures...

Possession: Home 37% Away 63%
Shots: Home 4 Away 13
Shots on Target: Home 3 Away 2
Corners: Home 2 Away 4
Fouls: Home 4 Away 5
-
Cameron John and whiteman stand out players so far. They caught us on the break. Sieng made a good save. Mckeown made a brilliant save from Sadlier.
Kiwomya not up to much
-
Sheaf on for Whiteman

I don't think we will!
-
Technical issues no you keep pulling the wire out, only happens when they get excited
-
Hope Whiteman isn't injured
-

Must think we’re stupid
-
2 more corners. Sadlier heads wide this time.
COYR.
-
Need to get back into the game asap
-
Chance to see if the teams got the character to come back.
We have in the two league fixtures...
I'm hoping we can come back and win against lower league opposition.
-
asap? there's half an hour to go?
-
Taylor on
-
The stats for this game are getting silly, we should be looking at them in our dust by now.

It can happen in football whether the team is weak or strong, it just happens we are not strong enough yet.

Apart from Ennis how goals did the players on the field score last season
-
Get Heffernan on!
-
Barnsley 3 down at home to Carlisle and dingles have a strong team out.
-
asap? there's half an hour to go?
Less than 20 minutes now.
-
49 dangerous attacks to 26.
-
owt happening.?
-
owt happening.?
81' Niall Ennis attempts an overhead kick to get on the end of Alfie May's cross but he can't connect, before Crawford shoots over from the edge of the box.
84' Alfie May's ambitious half-volley is dragged wide.
-
May on as sub for Blair.
-
owt happening.?
Nope, sounds like we’ve ran out of ideas
-
Just not gonna happen is it oh well cups shit anyway.
-
Lack of goals, surprising that....
-
Just not gonna happen is it oh well cups shit anyway.
The trip to Arsenal was ok
-
20 chances, according to the BBC..
-
Missing the old man.
-
Not a good start to the season at all, close season has been a shambles and its showing on the pitch
-

Surely the Board can't be happy with this striker malarkey.
-
2 strikers still required at the club it’s down the decision makers to make it happen. We brought in a good manager now back him and make sure we get the players we need.
-
89' Excellent block by Grimsby defence to deny Niall Ennis from close range after May's forward pass picked out the Wolves' loanee's run.

TBF it does seem to be dragging on a bit.
-
4 mins added on come on take a draw now
-

Its probably more down to the target players, their parent clubs, and their agents...
-
Striker striker striker striker striker striker striker striker striker striker
-
In hindsight we should have kept JM until a replacement striker was signed, and then let him go. Most clubs would not let their top striker go, before getting a replacement. Now we are struggling to score goals.

DM has said that he is determined to get the PL striker on loan but how long does he let it drag on.
What if his club make a very late decision not to let him come to us?
There has to come a time when he changes his thoughts to the next man on his list.
-

By the way les some said he was easy to replace him not happening is it.
-
Just not good enough, with all the opportunities we create at least one goal should be scored. The coach needs to roast a few folks here!
-
All over
1:0
-
Striker please please please
-

I’ll say it again Barmby how many of the players on the pitch scored goals last season.weve lost all our goal scorers and not replaced them
-
Unbelievable Jeff!

Possession: Home 35% Away 65%
Shots: Home 8 Away 24
Shots on Target: Home 3 Away 3
Corners: Home 3 Away 11

Seems a blunder on the part of the Board, should have told JM, he would be allowed to go, once we had someone in place to do his job. Nothing wrong with that.

How could the club have kept JM? He didn’t want to be here
-
Unbelievable Jeff!
No it’s not Baz it’s about time people starting opening their eyes.
-
Well, the good news is, whoever comes in should get a hatful!
More shooting practice from the rest to get it between the woodwork!
-
It is becoming a real issue.
That's now three games we would have won had we had someone capable of actually sticking the ball in the net.
While I admire DM's patience, the time is fast approaching when we need to look at other options in main targets are being awkward.
-
The manager and the board aren’t stupid.. I believe they will be trying desperately to bring goals into the club..
2/3 possession and 24 chances shows there is only one part of the jigsaw missing..
-
Well I hope they find the missing piece before too many league games have passed by.
It is hard playing catch up.

Les we could have to sign a free agent on wages larger than Johns we did not do that. We sign a up and coming striker with transfer fee and wages we haven’t done that. We loan a strike but we aren’t doing that yet. It’s a shambles by the club.
-
Tommy Rowe scored in a penalty shoot out tonight.
-
The irony!
