DM seemed keen to get Bingham in the starting XI which given he has more pace than Thomas, might be a smart move.
Maybe Sadlier could count himself unlucky not to be starting with Gomes in the team but maybe DM thinks Gomes gives us a bit more solidity. Never quite sure what we're going to get from Gomes but for Whiteman and Sheaf to dominate we need him to roll his sleeves up and provide an option to keep the ball moving.
We need to be better by starting games less sluggishly. If we can get going, we're a match for anyone. Good options off the bench.
I'll be happy with a 1-1 or 2-2. Anything else is a bonus.

Very scrappy game, poor quality from both teams. Couple of free kicks for Rovers in good positions but hit the wall both times. They've had the best chance - good save from Dieng.

Per DFP seems to be a familiar start being a bit sloppy and as said above, rushing things.
We know we can be better and normally perk up in the 2nd half. Just keep it tight for first 10 mins, then let loose and get Sadlier on.

We are what we are, a mid table side that didn't strengthen anywhere near enough to challenge the top 3. Paper thin squad & make do & mend strikers. January will show which way we are heading.

Why discount the Southend score when considering our scoring.? They all counted, didn’t they.?

Think people are overreacting a bit, we are far from perfect and we clearly are very light up top but we’re nowhere near as poor as some people are making out and we are still right in the mix for the play-offs.
Always disappointing to lose any game, especially in the dying minutes to a penalty when we played almost a full 45 with a man less. Onto the next game though.
