Bradford City have rightly sacked the player after revelations of him engaging in sexual activity with a child - utterly despicable -

If he is guilty then he should be locked up for life and dangled upside down by his testicles for 2 hours a day

Weren’t there rumours about this sometime ago. Can’t remember if the player was named or not.

So he’d have been 20-21 at the time... be interesting to see age of alleged victim and under what circumstances...BF/GF or similar to Adam Johnson. Wait and see but the law is the law.

Whatever the age difference he’s an adult and there’s no excuse- the girl must’ve been under. 16.

I'm not arguing about this case, I don't know the details. But it is more than interesting how the laws re ages differ throughout Europe eg if he was 20 at the time and she was 14, it would be legal in Germany.

And beyond that, there is a huge difference between a 20 year old having sex with a 15 year old and a 5 year old. It's simply not in the same class but people's reactions are often the same.

In this case it's wise to know the details before casting judgement whatever your views.

I agree on that BRR, there is a huge difference.  I also think it the age difference when the underage person is nearing the age of consent.  If the adult party is close in age it is a different level of offence to if the adult is say 10 years or more older, and the greater the age gap the more grievous the offence.

I agree massively with the above on differences.

If, for example, he met the girl in a club and had sex with her afterwards he could very well argue that anyone in a club is over 18. If she then turned out to be 15 what was he meant to do? ID the girl before he took her back.

Wait for the details before anyone claims he should be hung by his testicles.

There is more to this than folk know.
I don't for one minute condone anything that has happened but from what I have heard in Bradford from a reliable source it isn't exactly as you might imagine.
