Rigoglioso, as we knew him on here, has asked me to post this link.

https://awayonsaturday.blogspot.com/2020/04/doncaster-rovers-video-archive-2013.html

It's being added to all the time and contains some real gems.

Nice one

I dipped straight into Barnsley 4 Rovers 1 because I always jested that Lewis Guy slowed down so big Darren could fetch him down

I am happy now that he didnt really but going down to 10 men changed the game in favour of the Tykes. Bloody Campbell Rice

Brilliant resource from Rigo. Nice one!

That 1-4 at Barnsley. Bizarre how the memory plays tricks. I would have bet the house on the Moore-Guy clash being at the other end of the pitch.

I always remember the memory of it being as we attacked the away end.

However, that video highlights something else that always seemed to happen to Rovers more than other clubs - commentators getting our players wrong! It's blatantly Brian Stock taking the penalty there but the commentator twice says he's Lewis Guy. So many times people failed to bother doing their proper research into us around that period.

None more bizarre than in the commentary from the 2003 Play Off Final where Tim Ryan is consistently referred to as "Cross". What team sheet that lad was reading, I've no idea.

I hope this is ok
I collect and archive footage of Barnsley Football Club.
I wondered if any of have any videos of games between our clubs in any format be it VHS or Betamax. I'm in particular interested in footage from any years prior to us being in the Premier League.
Also any cine-film or amateur shot footage
Any footage I receive I will put into DVD free of charge if you so wish.
The reason for posting on here is quite a lot of Barnsley footage comes from other clubs.
If you can help with this then do not hesitate to contact me by email at kendraytyke@gmail.com

Many thanks
Stay safe

Just seen this.

I have no idea if you already have this, or if indeed it is available anywhere, but I recall an appearance on YTV’s Sunday highlights programme (Big Match) from about 1978 with a 2-2 draw vs Barnsley at Belle Vue.  That is memorable for me because we were hardly ever featured on that programme.

Jut watched Rochdale v Ebbsfleet on BTSport and felt compelled to search for footage our game at Spotland in 1998; we were properly shite, and Dominico Tedaldi's goal was not as good as I remember it  :)
