Title: Rovers v Bristol Rovers
Post by: RoversAlias on September 26, 2020, 12:51:06 pm
On we go then with another game, after a disheartening week for the sport in general! Can we get out first home win today?

Check out ITEN's Match Preview here: https://www.intotheemptynet.com/post/league-one-match-preview-bristol-rovers-h2021 (https://www.intotheemptynet.com/post/league-one-match-preview-bristol-rovers-h2021)

Who's watching and where from today?

I will be at the KM today............in spirit anyway.
In reality, watching on iFollow from home.
I was saying to Mrs hound just now how it doesn’t feel right to NOT be going out to the game.

To get the Keepmoat match atmosphere I stand up and lean back staring at the ceiling for 10 seconds at regular intervals, pretending I'm letting the bloke with a weak bladder on our row get past to go for a piss.

Ridiculous booking for James.
The Bristol, number five has committed three or four fouls and hasn’t even had a ticking off.

Ffs. Taylor did really well but went down too easily! Again, Lokilo could have done better. Need to be more ruthless in those positions.

To far out again just like vs charlton more then enough defenders in front of he had been back on or just in front of his line he would have got it

Graeme Jones was the last in 1994-95.

The only others have been Jim Dobbin (1986-87) and Ernie Moss (1983-84) - Ernie actually scored in each of the first 4 league games.

Might have been dale, but sure it was different match to thrice penalty.

Edit:see Idlers post, explains it,I got mixed up a bit,his debut was Dale(probably thrice pen game) hat trick was Carlisle away but not debut, think it was first game of season which confused me with debut.

Excellent performance that. Paul Goodwin made a great point: what a luxury it is to have a player like Copps to come on for the second half and influence the game like he did.

I think I’m more excited for this season than I have been for quite a while. Darren Moore knows his craft.

Rather than the collective groan and unbridled advice from the terraces..

We fans can be the 12th man....and executioner!

Hopefully fans now realise that being positive and players will react in that same manner
