Went in to hospital 5 weeks ago feeling in well, as he thought his cancer had come back after test it was diagnosed that it hadn’t but he had another problem. But as of yesterday it was found he had contracted Covid 19 witch he has picked up in DRI he has now been moved to the Covid ward, so all I can say now is get better soon mate

First time I noticed his posts was when he was giving his "not in my f*****g Village" review of Leeds fans in Thorne and I know there were several "looking for him"
First time I met him was in Wolverhampton when he stopped me to ask directions to a "good pub near here". As it happens I knew a few from going there watching Wolves - so that was a chuckle a Rovers fan asking a Rovers fan the way to a Pub
Since then he has sold me Cars and explained the PCP deals etc and I meet him now and again in Thorne - lovely bloke

All the best Steve as with DW sold me cars explained pcps met up for a drink here and there I last spoke to him a couple of months ago We always used to laugh and joke over whos back was worse till Steves was diagnosed and he won hands down. He was always there if I wanted when my wife was seriously ill and after she passed away. Get well mate see you soon

More on Steve the hoop lol. He has a renal infection and e-coli as well as the virus, he is struggling to breath at the moment and having cold sweats although he is burning up and bad headaches, and the antibiotics are struggling to cope but I’m sure he will fight this

More news on hoola Steve his sweats have cooled a lot his coughing and spluttering is slowing, but he is still struggling to breath so all in all very very good news

Guys fellow Vikings , you have all brightened up my life - this is what it's always been like to be a Rover.....a happy caring family. Who the fook could support the Binkickers , the snobs down at S6 or the Blunts .
You have brought me laughter and tears with your posts and of course I will beat both conditions.
Some / many of you supported me day and night when I had spinal cancer and was stuck in a hospital for almost 7 then 5 weeks faraway in Birmingham.
We have our verbal tear ups but we support the club as well as one another.
Wr are a tough lot and I will beat it with your support.

I spoke to Steve Hoola today and he said he has had a bad day today his infection is up from 200 to 300 on the scale the Covid is not letting it get better, he had a scan today that seemed to last hours and he was in pain through most of it. I will update when I know more, but come on Steve mate get fighting it

Yes struggling with the breathing they have me on 3litres of oxygen - its not that intrusive. Taste and smell is coming back ( can now spot a Binkicker by its smell now ). Or of course the cheap tattoo " Leads, Leads, Leads ";)
They are adjusting my other drugs to introduce an anti - viral to compliment the 4 anti- biotics. To fight my discitis, blood & chest infection.
I want people to know that opposite me is a 19 y.o and in the next bay a 24 y.o. both are struggling for any young'uns that are tempted to laugh in the face of Covid-19 - yes it can get you too !
So I make no apologies for this long post if only 1 person avoids trouble ....because this CAN be big trouble regardless of age .

I believe there are those that listen and obey and those that listen and question....
I also believe that whilst the evidence suggests this virus will never go away completely, it does give the authorities “ absolute powers” over each and everyone’s idea of freedom and Liberty..

Right lads I have this beaten on all fronts . It was that inner Rob Jones, Vicar , Andy, Daggers and the knowledge that you were ALL rooting for me that did it.
All I will say is that I was worried that it had me in it's grip for a while and felt it was gunna drag me down .
Lads and lasses and especially dr.vicar you might not realise how much of an edge you all gave me .
You inspired me as you did the last twice when I was close to death and a long way from home.
Like our club which rose like a phoenix from the depths of non- league footy ; I feel I have done that with your help.
I want to thank every last one of you especially my new " bubble buddy " Wolfie whose beer will taste all the sweeter round his place.
Couple of battles to fight/beat and the forum has indulged me enough.
