Looks like he still dishes out Yellows for fun - more than 4 a game but only 2 Reds

Watch to see if he "ducks" second Yellows as v Oxford above

Its only half time, and I've given him a zero already.

Blatant time-wasting by Wigan players - standing over free kicks etc, and he just stands there doing nothing. No warnings, no anything.

At the end of the first half, 4 minutes added time were indicated. About right, for the stoppages, I thought. During that time, play is stopped for more than a minute while a Wigan player gets treatment, then we score and Wigan eventually kick off, and then the keeper takes an age to retrieve the ball for goal kick. So how much extra time does the referee add on? Answer 54 seconds. Frankly, that is pathetic.

Books Tom Anderson for complaining about the Wigan player stopping us taking a quick free kick - and not speaking to the Wigan player at all. Again, pathetic.

Gives us a drop ball when Reece James needed treatment. The rule is that the defending team should be given the ball (who would probably have kicked it back to our keeper, as we had possession). Wigan were not happy with this, as it caught them off-guard, as they were expecting to get the drop-ball.

What an utter waste of space.

And while I'm at it....teams leading who invariably steal 10 or more yards from throw-ins, knowing the worst that can happen is the referee telling them to go back. Guess what - this wastes even more time, and is half the reason why they do it. This needs stamping out.

I watched in outrage at how Wigan time wasted

They took more than 60 seconds to take a corner ffs. They were 2 or 3 up at that time!

Their keeper only took one GK in LESS than 30 seconds and that was at 0 0 after which he averaged 30 with a PB of 52 seconds

I know its a sad state but just glance at clock as any ball goes out for a GK and watch exactly how slow they are and how they do it

He also allowed players to stand over a free kick awarded to the opposition to prevent a quick free kick being taken.
One player even kicked the ball away from right in front of the ref.
No action taken.
This is something tha5 is creeping back into the game every week.

There was a poster on here recently saying there was another poster who advocated a timed 30 minute per half per game to avoid time wasting as the examples you gave

I reckon it would work personally
