We’re going to have to play like Barcelona from a few years ago, pass, pass, pass, move move move, until we get an opening, to score

Apart from not having an out and out front man that line up looks pretty decent to me.

Well, if you can work the ball around that lump of Wood, we can make them look silly. They won't have a clue who to mark.

Title: Re: Rotherham v TLOD

Kick off delayed fifteen minutes due to problems getting home fans in.
Problems with the turnstiles apparently.
Have they also gone to the same type of ticketing that we have.

A good opening 20 mins for us.
Possession about even but we are obviously lacking attacking options.
Rotherham just had a goal ruled out for offside.

Neat and tidy in midfield but when you can’t hold the ball up, up front....you can’t keep them out all game.

Feel like we’re playing on the counter without the players to do it.

They're a very good team, they'll be top 2 this season. We obviously know they're tall, physical and aggressive so we need to keep it down and play it quickly as possible so they don't have time to win the ball back. We've been smart so far with corners, they'd beat us on height so might as well not waste it.

Post by: Spud on August 28, 2021, 02:06:33 pm
That second goal is a killer, other than that they 've only had one spell on top of us imo & that was when they scored the first.

Playing ok but as predicted they're much stronger than us & we've nothing up top.

Personally think Horton has done well against Sads, Knoyle playing well too.

Horton is no match for Sadlier and John no match for Smith. Still we dont have a player in the final third who cant cross a ball anywhere near a blue shirt. Matt Smith wants too long on the ball and has his pocket picked everytime he f#cks about with it. Its not been horrible to watch but we are literally like watching a kitten playing with a ball of string.

Hate to say it but it feels like game over as again we have no attacking intent

Mmmmmm just think, push the boat out for this proven lge1 striker a couple of weeks ago regardless of the bogel situation and we may have had a fighting chance.

But nope the board and multi millionaire owner knows better.

If things have not improved by the game 15 mark and look unlikely to I dread to think how sour relations could become.

Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that. Hopefully we will have some players back for our next game incl those in the forward sense otherwise may as well just hand the points over before the game starts

Full time, the only positive that I can take from this and the other games so far is that we are not getting beaten by lots of goals. But that’s only a small positive. Anyway, good to have 10 days off to hopefully get some back from injury and any of those carrying injuries time to recover.

Onwards and upwards
