Title: The Likes Of Doncaster Vs Rovrum EFL trophy
Post by: nice one rovers on September 07, 2021, 07:31:46 pm
I’ve just come home.
Given that we are 3 nil down at 16 minutes, do do think we can go on to win this?
Come on rovers!

No, they're carving us open tbh. We've had chances too though, bit more attacking threat at least. The lad from Newcastle looks good on first impressions.

Matt Smith looks lost to me, Galbtraith back Saturday surely, our front three look lively, but defense looks shocking

Defensively we look awful, big task for Richie to stop leaking goals, stop that & we obviously stay in games,  look a lot better going forward tonight, but we need to address the defense more than anything else at the minute.

Grigg was always gonna score today wasn’t he
I’m f**king fuming with donny at the min
U don’t let your local rivals have such an easy night on your own patch , get the under 18 lad on to break some legs and take the red

Don’t agree with the leg breaking part but every game seems to get worse for us at the moment. Anyone expecting more than a relegation battle is delusional

If I’m to look at this game honestly we were very poor in the second half especially defending corners. Offered nothing going forward in the second half and never looked like scoring

The first half although we conceded 3 goals was a much better display, we actually created chances and looked as though we could trouble them, but conceding those 3 goals as we did was unfortunate. A missed hit cross that goes in which came from us giving the ball away, a second that looked like it could have been offside, although the defenders and the keeper all should have done better and an unfortunate own goal for the third. We still did create chances and missed a sitter just before half time.

Anyway on to Saturday, fingers crossed for better luck in front of goals at Wigan.

Onwards and upwards
