Back again, why do we do it.
-
That’s a good line up for me.
-
As usual, the away commentary team have everything up and working before the match starts, Rovers struggling again, just switched on.
-
Fingers crossed a better show today, even if we lose.
-

agreed.
If we don't impress with that side we're buggered.
-
Back again, why do we do it.
It’s the hope that kills you!! But here’s hoping for better things!!
-
Have we all recovered from Tuesday night?
-
Close goes close lol and hits the bar
-
A much better start!
-
Get innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Rowe scores
-
Get in. Best start of the season. Look urgent and actually like a football team.
-
Now there is an answer to the questions asked on Tuesday night!
-
Rowe scores again, should we be playing him upfront?
-
Vilca shoots and of post again
-
Rowe scores again, should we be playing him upfront?
False number 9, 10 in the pocket, midfield dynamo, left-back, rush keeper.
-
Rowe scores again, should we be playing him upfront?
Would that lead to him being marked as a striker then?

I suppose it would. I wasn't being very serious when I made the suggestion... Still, he does seem to have an eye for goal.

I wasn't taking it that seriously, but was interested in the thought process. I often wonder how a team would cope if the team they were playing played a completely unknown formation. Probably for just the first half and then change back to a more conventional formation for the second half, once the manager has worked out a plan
-
Back to 1-1
-
Whoever was marking at the back post there got out-fought. I think there's something in this still though. We need to keep the high press.
-
Back to the start come on rovers let’s get back in front before half time

Maybe play something completely unexpected close to the end?
When a goalie comes forward for a corner kick at the end of a cup game, it often causes havock. Perhaps there's something in it?
-
Like when David James was sent to play at the front and they subbed on another keeper.
Anyway, come on Rovers, we're seeing glimmers
-
After a really bright start we are starting to get dominated in midfield now
-
Possession 29:71% to MKD! Really?
-
Come out fighting after half time, they need a reminder from RW of what they can do. Reproduce the first 15-20 minutes and it isn't inconceivable that we win this one. Fingers crossed.
-

Ben Close.
-
Yep. Great start and held them down very well. After about 20 mins they’d managed to work out how to fight back and it got sketchy for a bit. Now we’re pressing again and it’s more 50/50. They seem to break very quickly though and we struggle to get back a bit.
That last corner to them was a joke. Their player kicked it against the side netting and out. Can’t understand why the lino didn’t put the ref right.
If we can stop the sloppiness creeping in and get better service to Dodoo in the second half this looks good.
-
Possession 29:71% to MKD! Really?
Yes, they are known for passing it around apparently. Most of the time, it doesn't really lead anywhere, their best chances have come from set plays. We've had the best chances but are not in control of the ball.
For some reason, we're knocking it long very often. Probably for the pace of Dodoo and Hiwula, I understand that, but once too often IMO.

we were being far more penetrating when we were playing around them in the first 20 minutes. That’s when we created a number of chances and hit the woodwork twice.
-
Watters was through there. Tame shot by him saved us.

In the space of 8 minutes, he's been in behind our defense 3 times. Luckily he's done nothing with it either time, but not a good sign.
-
Would you bring on ‘able Seaman Staines?. Doing well so far.
-
Ben Close - watching him and he lets the game pass him by at times. Meandering, not picking up players… He needs to get his head in the game.
-
If we get a point from this it will be a miracle

I've already nicknamed him 'the ghost' in my head about 5 games ago now.
Maybe a good player on his day. But not a good player on enough days.

We’re that bad, eh?
-
Get in.

Get in!

Goooooaaaaalalllllll⁹

2_1!"!!!
-
Cukur
-
Tiago - he needed that!
-

Que.??
-
Cukur tap in. Galbraith excellent ball over, Hiwula lobbed the keeper, Cukur tapped it in.

Williams - poor there…
-
Colincramb, can you try typing that a few times each game please?
-
Great to see a bit of belief coming back into the team, keep it going Rovers!!
-
Williams - poor there…
What happened, PDX_R?
-
Lewington - 800 appearances today for MK Dons, but he needs to change his boots. He keeps falling over every time a Rovers player infiltrates his airspace. Lino finally doesn’t give one.
-
Williams - poor there…
What happened, PDX_R?
Poor header, put their play in, hauled him back… Lucky boy that the ref didn’t give a penalty imo.
-
Come on Rovers hang in there!

Wow!…I’ll take that all day long in our position!
-
Yesssssssssss!
-
Wins a win.
-
Great result…The comeback is on!
-
Great win and even put a bet on the Rovers which I never do!
-
Very big win. MK Dons are a very good team. Rovers rode it out. You could see at the end the relief and joy amongst everybody. Good to see.
-
Congratulations on the first win. That was some achievement after Tuesday’s drubbing.
Hopefully it’s onwards and upwards from now on
-
That’s exactly what we need. I’ll be interested to hear comments on the performance but this is three vital points - points we could have maybe got last Saturday too.
As it stands there are seven teams at the bottom of league one who each have only won two games. Take things one game at a time, but we’ve a great chance to get out of this mess.
A reprieve for Wellens too.
-
Correction - 6 teams with two wins as.Crewe drew and have only one victory.
-
Terrible player that Cukur, impersonating a footballer he is! ;)

To be fair it was going in anyway after Hiwula chipped the keeper.
-
The first half was probably the best I’ve seen us play this season, second half they did dominate but without really testing Pontus. Our second goal was probably off side at the start of the build up with Hiwula being the one off side. But there won’t be many Rovers fans complaining it didn’t get given.

After about 20 minutes they worked us out
Time after time they 2 on 1 on both the left and the right
We were very fortunate that they didn't capitalise
But what the heck a win is a win

It was our second league win this season mate.

I was hoping that Tiago wouldn’t tap that in as I thought he might have been offside but looking at the replay he did the right thing as the last defender was trying his hardest to hook Hiwulas attempt away.

Just watched the goals on Quest, and listened to the discussion and our second goal wasn’t offside as there player made a genuine attempt for the ball. Not often I say this but that was a great spot from the Lino and ref.

Ro-Shaun put a shift in yesterday, I thought. That header was a rare mistake but came about because he was being fouled as he was challenging for it. MK were very "handsy", grabbing shirts and pushing and pulling, particularly at set pieces.

Every team bar us, is very handsy and pull their opponents. It’s about time we had lessons ourselves

Yeah Williams did well, Anderson too. They were cutting out every attempt MK made to get through our defence.

Some people just have blinkered opinions about players and won’t change their mind
For example, two lads behind me at the game slated Williams from start to finish, even finding obscure reasons why when he did something well, it was lucky etc.
