Nice even game so far, Rovers making more close efforts than Portsmouth. More like the Sunderland game than the Ipswich game.

Portsmouth we’re lucky not to have conceded there. Great quick build up and close passing by Rovers.

Just need a bit more composure in front of goal. Too many shots from outside the box where we could have instead built up the attack.

Rovers have been very good this half. Dan Gardner has been excellent. We’ve been winning second balls and some of the passing and movement has been excellent. We’ve kept their fans quiet. A few boos at half time.
Dodoo unlucky not to score. Although he’s lacked quality otherwise - poor decision making.
We certainly don’t look like a team languishing at the bottom. Playing with confidence and purpose.

There has been more interest in that half of football than in he whole of the game on Tuesday. Had our chances today, didn’t on Tuesday. Could’ve/should’ve been 1 up. Same again Rovers

The referee has been very good. Best I’ve seen for ages. Hope I haven’t jinxed us. :)

Anyone shouting for Dodoo to replace Odubeko need to watch this game. He should be 2nd choice on the bench behind Agard and Odubeko. Dodoo Nowhere near league 1 standard. Apart from that we looking solid now very balanced, Gardner and Smith running midfield, defence and keeper solid.

I’d definitely give Agard or Odubeko a go and take Dodoo off.

Dodoo has had some decent games for us, he can just be a bit scatty at times. He is very unpredictable.
I would give it until the hour mark and get Odubeko on or Agard.

It is what is, we were down ages ago. I like this squad better than the one at the start of this season, but still complete lack of ability to get a result. Our results are probably even worse now than under Wellens I imagine if you looked at the stats.

Just can't see how things can get much better, everytime we improve we go back to being clueless

Confidence is a wonderful thing isn’t it? First half we were much the better team. Second half we started in the same vein. They get a goal then are gifted one and you could see the energy drain from Rovers.
I still think the effort and feeling around the team is way better than it was under Wellens. I absolutely think GM and FS are the right management team.
I will keep the faith until it’s mathematically impossible, but I’m confident for next season.

they looked knackered at the hour mark ,they had nothing left in the tank to give,I think we lose goals late on due to a lack of fitness and it will not improve until next season

We didn't come out in the second half. We were slack from the start and only had that one move.
Abysmal collapse. Seriously embarrassing stuff again. Pompey were okay, nothing special but they knew what they were trying to do. So much work ahead if this is the basis of our team next season.

Portsmouth are not a great side and they’ve managed to beat us comfortably in the end. Really disappointed after a decent first half. It’s another Sven Goran Eriksson describing an England performance “First half very good, second half not so good!.
