451 formation by the looks of it , Galbraith on the bench as well

Mipo so far has offered nothing especially as a focal point so seeing him up top on his own is worrying. Maybe Reo is out of shape after playing every game but you can just see the ball will be coming back very quickly unless we play s shorter game

4-5-1 ?
Not sure about mipo as a lone striker but hopefully it works as they are starting to become must wins at this stage

Unless he is unfit , it is surprising that Griffiths doesn't start.

Played from the start almost every game since signing, having neevr played senior football before. He was looking leggy in recent games and Mipo has been brighter off the bench.

Let's hope it's a set-up that can benefit us today, we need to have more on the ball and in theory have 3/4 ball players in midfield to facilitate that.

Let's hope there's signs of the work they've put in on the training ground.

Hope Rowe has a free role to get in and around the box as much as possible and follow on from last week's second half performance.

Players we have a part from Rowe would struggle to get in any league 1sides. The manager and coaches we have would not get jobs in any league 1 side. We are what we are a club who continue to slide towards league 2 and possibly the National league. I have no confidence that the people who run our club have any idea how to make the situation better.

Biggest problem?

…others look like they can't be arsed.

All they are ‘arsed’ about is about the size of their bank balance…win, lose or draw.

Lovely goal from Alfie 3-0
We haven’t got a single forward with anything like his qualities.

3 goals now 20 for Alfie this season I think, not bad for a player not up to this standard of football according to a lot on here.

We have no chance of staying up far to many performances are terrible, we have improved in certain matches against the better teams but overall there is no improvement from wellens being in charge, for me start looking for a new manager now that can motivate and actually sign a decent player

Alfie May's 2 games vs Rovers have been the best performances I've seen in all our matches from a forward this season.

For a club that said he wasn't really L1 standard we have made him look like Messi.

Bottom six all behind.
Apart from one game fewer to play then nothing has changed if things stay as they are today.
Two successive wins against Gillingham and Fleetwood are now seriously required.

We just don’t threaten consistently enough to put a string of results together.. we have looked more than good enough in periods in quite a few games,  but nowhere near often enough..

And another, we have no way of stopping wingers coming down our flanks, and then it is inevitable that somebody latches on. Keep it up lads, Conference at the end of next season unless they do something in training about this sort of rubbish.

I reckon relegation will go to Crewe then three of the next five from bottom clubs.

Cheltenham strengthened in January with better players while we thought we had. It’s over now we will be relegated this manager along with the staff that brought in the players have no idea along with the people who run our club. It will continue next season if they allow it.

Onto Saturday for a big, big game against the Gills

I have rarely seen a side play without absolutely no clue tactically or as a unit going forward, it's like nobody seems to know how or where to play as a unit, it's absolutely shocking. I really do wonder what happens in training.

I'd say we've been watching that for a full calendar year now, under three different managers.

do you know what. Joking aside, this whole Ukrainian episode has put a lot of things in perspective for me of late and, although I love my club, if we get relegated, then so what. So be it. It really is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. We’ll still, hopefully, be able to go watch them next season.

Results over the last month or so have been much better. If they hadn’t been we’d be relegated by now.

Many of the folk going mad are indeed the ones who said we’d be down by the end of feb, yet we’re still right in it.

Ok we've picked up a few results but we can't string together successive wins, that alone will be our downfall!
Oh and when we do lose it's a big one!

I don’t believe under Club Doncaster on their own without the benefactors money now have the finances to get any body with credentials to move this club forward we are in free fall.

Alfie May scores today. That's all I know.

Meh

It was in the stars.

When Alfie was in the goals a few games ago someone on here suggested that people were fawning about a Cheltenham bit part player in a third division team.
Out of curiosity i have just looked at his stats based on the bbc league one top scorers list.
Thirty five appearances doesn't suggest he is a bit part player and his goals per minute played, shots on target, goal conversion and shot accuracy are right up there with the best of them.

I was thinking of starting a new thread to mention all that but i guess i will get enough stick just for mentioning it on here.

I agree, we are in freefall but surely we could have got someone in with an element of experience with our budget? Flynn who did so well with Newport was out of work - now at Walsall I believe. Would have got this lot playing.

Well for starters we don’t need to win two successive games
If we win 4/5 of our remaining 9 games then we will stay up
