wednesday 0 portsmouth 1

George Hurst x-wednesday X- rotherham score

when Portsmouth murdered Rotherham 3-0 very recently the radio Sheffield commentators were amazed how lightening fast  Hurst was as he ripped thru The Wednesday defence time and time again - speed they had never seen when he had played in South Yorkshire - which makes you wonder what untapped assets have Rovers player got ????

...........  it could be a good day after all at this moment in time

I think it's quite clear that ourselves and Wimbledon deserve to go down based on today's performances.

Half time 1-0, only the 28 or so goals needed this next half

some quite good attacking play first half, just that final ball missing.... plus their goalie did a mega save to deny an OG

We have been the better team in the 1st half and playing some good football. Just a shame we are clueless when we get in or near the opposition penalty area. Loads of corners but nothing coming from any of them. We could do with a clear out of all our "strikers" and start again from scratch.

Not bad that. If you ignore the fact that we never look like scoring at one end, and the defence shots itself every time Oxford raise their game above a canter, we look quite decent.

i was reading yesterday about Gillinghams long injury list (everybody seems to say this) --- but this happens when you have a small squad and small amounts of money ---   you could make an argument that wimbledon despite selling the family silver (plate) they will have only lost 21 matches  ... Charlton will have also lost 21 matches !!!!!!  and they are 13th at the minute

1-0

Way more than Mitchell to blame.

Ball back to him put him under pressure. He scuffed it badly. Bostock and Clayton were lethargic when their midfielder picked it up and drove forward. Defence didn't pick up the free man in the inside left position. Then when the ball squirted to the back post it was 2 on 1.

Kind of encapsulates why we have conceded 82 goal. Put us under a little pressure and the defence disintegrates.

it's almost certainly going to be Sunderland v Wendies in the play offs and probably two sell outs

in the unlikely event Rotherham missed automatic promotion they would play Wycombe - and both matches between these two ended 0-0 this season

whilst mk v wycombe would be chalk versus cheese  ( football v anti-football)

Houghton got sent off for Plymouth 0-4

ironically radio sheffield AGAIN knows when we score minuteS before the match watchers do

twine of MK is tying Plymouth in knots scored 4 goals so far ...

Bolton 3-2 so Gillingham need to equalise against Rotherham  to stay up

Rotherham thought they had scored -off side.

More comedy football from Rovers. Twice we have chances in the Oxford area and on both occasions we are tackled by one of our own players. You couldn't make it up

Full time and a miserable season is finally over. Roll on the start of next season. A lot of work to be done by McS in the next couple of months or so to build a team that can compete in league 2

Onwards but temporarily downwards

Well, if there's any respectability in relegation then we've achieved it.

Nothing more to be said that hasn't already.

I'll be there supporting my team next season and hoping for a better season....as always!

After a disastrous season, it was pleasing to see Rovers do enough at the end not to finish rock bottom.
