Not been to the Ricoh before so any suggestions for quick get away parking appreciated.
Football grounds guide has this link to a car park but looks a decent walk.

I parked at the RAOB club which is only ten minutes' walk away last season. f**ked if I can remember the name of the road it's on though. Cost £4, there were several other car parks in the area at the same sort of cost.

I'm planning on parking in the retail park next to the ground and just spending £25 while I'm there so I don't get clamped. Like you I've never been to the Ricoh before and this looks to be the closest parking you can get, and it's fairly easy to spend £25 in one of the shops there!

I'm not going this year, but I went to Cov last season and we parked in one of the secure car parks just off the M6.

I would certainly recommend it. About 10 minutes walk away from the stadium, and the car park is secure and they lock it up while the game is being played and they have somebody there to watch over the cars while you are at the game. We parked in there alongside a number of home fans and we had absolutely no trouble whatsoever.
We payed via PayPal, and then just printed off the verification e-mail and showed it to the guy when we got there. I'd recommend you do this as they do ask for some proof that you have paid for the space.
