Southend owe alot less, but still - surely the FA can not keep letting clubs be run like this!

Bad situation aint it.
Pompey are screwed imo.
Hoepfully Cardiff can sort it out, same for Southend.

Looks like Southend is just a question of 200,000 which they believe they have already paid!

Didn't they get a receipt?

As far as I understand it, the Court does not have the power to place any of these clubs into administration.
The hearing for Portsmouth is a final hearing if after which no deal is reached, the Court has the power to order a liquidiation. That really is the end of the road for any business. Cease trading immediately, all contracts cancelled and begin selling off the assets.
Latest reports are indicating that Portsmouth have failed to reach an agreement with HMRC and they'll be pushing for a winding up order at the hearing (which should be taking place anytime now judging by the Court listings).

Cardiff and Southend adjourned for 28 days - Do the courts look at the fact Risdale has been here before?????
