Popped down this morning for another Colchester ticket and was told Saturdays game almost sold out !!

Well the club will have to make a decision whether to open up the North stand. Which will need more staffing with councourse bars and stewarding. This might not be as easy as we think, as it might mean redeployment some staff away from other concourses, when they'll really need all hands to the pumps.

I'm sure they'll find a way.

Found this strange from the villa game.

In an extraordinary shootout after the tie ended 3-3 on aggregate after extra time, Villa keeper Martinez - who had been booked earlier for time-wasting - was shown another yellow card for appearing to gesture to home fans.

Martinez, who had already kept out Nabil Bentaleb's penalty, was allowed to carry on as his initial booking was not carried over into the shootout.

The Argentina World Cup winner then went on to keep out Benjamin Andre's attempt as Villa won 4-3 on penalties to advance to the last four.

Martinez then ran virtually the whole length of the pitch to celebrate in front of Villa's jubilant 2,600 travelling fans.

Asked whether he and his players thought Martinez had been dismissed in the shootout, Emery said: "Yes. He is very important for us from the bbc

Here’s a comment from Martinez after the game:”I just don’t understand the rules.” (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68840324)

So there you have it: a professional footballer being paid millions of pounds a year, and he doesn’t know the rules! You really could not make it up, eh?

357 left but the ticket site isn't showing W31.

Rovers should be updating this morning and this afternoon so as to drum up more excitement and get those last tickets shifted.

‘Last tickets’

720 left unless any more blocks get released.

Travelling up from home in Cornwall just for the game, dodgy fire stick just doesn't cut it. Haven't looked forward to a home game like this in a long long, long time

Whereabouts in Cornwall are you living?
I'm a Yorkshire/Kernow mongrel with roots in Looe and a sister with an Alpaca farm in Rezare

Only 39 tickets left in the East Stand. Maybe start seeing the West Blocks fill up more rapidly during the day and tomorrow.

Key games on Saturday and my predictions
Crew 0 Wrexham 2
Doncaster 3 Barrow 1
Sutton 1 Crawley 1
Walsall 0 Bradford 0
Mansfield 2 Gillingham 1
Tranmere 0 Wimbledon 3
Notts County 1 Colchester 2

The Notts County result will be great for us if Colchester win, they will secure their place in L2, lose and they will have to win against us for any chance of their survival in L2

So many variables keeping it exciting. It would be nice if Colchester were on the beach for our game with them, but if not and it goes down to the final game they would need to beat Crewe, which might end up being a result we need!
