Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch...

FA Statement: Clubs charged
Tuesday, 17 August, 2010

Leeds United and Nottingham Forest have both been charged following a mass.

Leeds United and Nottingham Forest have both been charged following a mass confrontation between their two sets of players at Sunday’s (15 August) Championship fixture at the City Ground.

Both clubs have been charged under new fast-track rules with failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, and have until 4pm on Friday 20 August 2010 to respond. The charge is specified as non-standard in line with The FA’s new fast-track rules, which can be viewed here.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest’s Chris Gunter has been charged with violent conduct following an incident in the same fixture. Gunter has been offered the penalty of a three match suspension and has until 6pm on Wednesday 18 August to admit or deny the charge.

I am a bit surprised by the Gunter charge as I thought the ref had booked him for the incident- which used to mean no action could be taken. Maybe another rule change for the new season.

Yes, a change in policy. Not sure on the details yet on the new policies and procedures. I am attending a seminar on the 1st September about the updates - I can let you know more then.

So Gunter wasn't provoked by Watt? Madness.

Interesting, the FA always seem to charge the retaliator as opposed to the initiater

.

This is political correctness gone mad!

I'm not a religious person myself but if Leeds and Nottingham Forest want to believe in such things in their own country then they should be allowed to.

These do gooders will want mosques on ground zero next.

I am going to write a strongly worded letter to the daily mail etc.
