We know he's retired from playing but he's now become a full-time God botherer.
He was on Five Live this morning and sounded very committed to his new calling, he never spoke about his football career, not once.

Didn't Peter Knowles (brother of Cyril) do a similar thing in the 70's?

that was different he was at the top of his game only 23-24 and he quit wolves to become a jehovahs witness

stuart elliott has always been a god botherer in a particular sect and has probably gone to that as a natural progression from retirement

He was on Look North (Humberside and Lincs version) last night talking about that. Not very interesting really.
