Skysports.com understands a host of clubs are showing an interest in Southend's Anthony Grant.

The former Chelsea midfielder has been at Roots Hall since 2008 and has played nearly 100 games for the Shrimpers.

Grant has 18 months left on his current deal having signed a new contract last year.

But it seems Southend's resolve to keep him could be tested in the next few months with a string of Championship clubs keen on his services.

Skysports.com now understands that Bristol City, Doncaster, Swansea, Reading and Barnsley are all keeping tabs on the player.
