Dumbuya top of MOM poll.
« on November 30, 2010, 09:45:05 am by DRFCSouth »
Was surprised to see this given that he hasn't played that many games. Is he honestly our player of the season so far? Or is it a popularity contest? I like him as a player and think he's got a lot more potential, but, is he really ahead of people like Sully, O'Connor, Coppinger etc? I understand it's the individuals point of view, just wondering what your opinions are?

In my opinion Muzzy gets alot of votes because of the excellent progress he has made, no one expected him to be as good has he has been, it makes his performance stand out a bit more in your mind. Copps, Oster and the rest have set such high standards for themselves that when their performance drops a little we tend to think they`ve had a crap game, when in reality they`ve still had a decent game

Think your probably right. Just not sure he should have such a big lead. Good luck to him. Like you said, who would have thought he would be turning in performances like he has. He does look more assured every game.

I agree with you here. I don't think he's been player of the season. Copps or Oster so far for me. I think people find it endearing that Dumbuya has come into the team and has done better than expected with no experience, that is why he is top of the poll, not because he's particularly been the best player.

I think also that when Muzzy gets the ball he runs like the clappers with it, which is something we are not used to seeing, yet excitable to the the fans.

As for his all round team performance of responsibilities, defending, pass and move, creating space etc etc....he is still some way behind the others, and understandably so given his age/experience.
