Help Required

I have 5,000 of the lovely VSC flyers that need distributing on Saturday. They need to be placed with programme sellers, at the turnstiles, concourse bars, lakeside bars, west stand reception, club shop, Cheswold, Toad etc.

If anyone can help out please let me know. I will be at the Toad/Ground at 11.30 on Saturday, If anyone wants them earlier please let me know.

Are they flyers advertising the VSC or flyers produced by the VSC to advertise the Rovers in general? If they're advertising the Rovers perhaps we could get some handed out in town? I would volunteer myslef but I'm working away on Sunday so I'd like to spend Saturday morning with my son.

Have you thought about giving a load to the hospitality/corporate staff? Plenty of money up there, and if we're to believe what we're told, it's full so some of them might be interested in buying season tickets for entertaining? It's ceratinly heaving on most match days.

Martyn, where will you be at approx 1pm. If we can get them to the turnstile operators then I'm more confident we can reach the majority of ST holders etc.

At present Barry only Rigo has offered to help so no idea but it shouldn't be far from the ground. If 1pm is the best time for the turnstiles then I will be in front of the West Stand.

It is to promote the ST club scout scheme, but the VSC logo is loud and proud on it, so shouldn't do us any harm either

Diverging slightly, I was in the local village butchers this morning with Alexander. It's about 15 miles outside Swindon. And what did I find prominently placed on the counter? A great big pile of handy sized leaflets saying that Swindon Town are Attempting to fill the County Ground when Walsall visit in March. Any existing ST holder can have another ticket for free. Anyone buying a ticket gets another one free.

Two or three things strike me about this:

1) They've got good distribution. These leaflets were right in the middle of Cotswold gentry land
2) Not a bad offer at all. I might even go.
3) Presumably it's not just Rovers that are struggling for attendance.

For anyone who is thinking of helping and mainly anyone who uses the Cheswold pre match, I will be at the ground at 12.30 not 11.30 as previously stated.
