Billy Sharp. Nobody else even runs him close.

Oster has been the player who has needlessly given the ball away to the opposition the most this season. This has resulted in the team being put under a lot of unwanted pressure during matches. Regardless of his other qualities, he's certainly not my player of the year by a long way.

I agree Oster has given the ball away in dangerous areas this season, maybe even cost us a few goals, but the point is he has played in nearly every single game.

He always wants the ball, he doesn't hide away (ok he could be a bit stronger in the tackles) and he is always having to come all the way back in to defence to help the back 4 because they all seem to have no idea what to do with the ball when they have it (apart from hoof it).

Add to this the fact he has created many goalscoring chances for the team, and that he has been playing with a different team around him nearly every week (consisting of players who many on here have said aren't good enough), and you can see why he is a player of the season contender.

With the frequency he gives it away directly to an opposition player in a dangerous part of the pitch, I'd rather he didn't want it all the time.

Haha, fair point, but my point is if he didn't come and get the ball off the centre backs they would just hoof it to no one!

Martis knows how to do that one... it's his favourite trick!
