Dome does me - close to home (for me obv), not bad price for membership as long as you go a couple of times a week, good selection of equipment and all the meatheads have got their own little room where they can grunt, take steroids, feel each others muscles and wear ridiculous \"muscle\" pants and weightlifting belts without bothering the normal people.

Lol

I noticed there is a new one opening on the road between Adwick and Carcroft, opposite where the motor auctions used to be.  Might be worth a look.

I'm a member of Fitness First in Balby,  quite a friendly club and not to many knuckle draggers.  Tell them I recomended you and I will get a free gift Go down for a free try out at all those you fancy and see which suits you best. ( I chose the nearest:) )

Problem with a leisure centre is that their swimming times are generally crap unless you want to have to dodge small kids etc!

Maltby is a bit far out but the facilities a V good so i've been told.

Only heard good things about the Dome and KMS

I wouldn't touch Fitness First with a barge pole. Bunch of blood sucking tossers. I was surprised that they didn't go through my wallet when its in a locker

If you fancy a short run (or drive) to get there, the Metrodome in Barnsley is excellent.  Run by Barnsley Premier Leisure, the kids fun pool and the proper mesters pool are seperate, and the gym is very well stocked with kit.

NOt the cheapest around, but very flexible membership.  See http://www.themetrodome.co.uk/content/files/403/categoryDocumentation

Hope Benny does n`t see this, but do you have to have the extra digit to get in the metrodome? ;)

I went to the dome but lost all motivation. Changed to Armthorpe and am really getting into it. Nowhere near as much equipment as the dome but nice and quiet, still enough equipment for me.

Nice swimming pool too.
