In June 2011, it was reported that Spurr had decided to leave Sheffield Wednesday to concentrate on his emerging Reggae career, having earlier invested in a bi-curious Jamaican wine bar in Deepcar

WTF is a bi-curious Jamaican wine bar ??

I think it means you go there if you're bi-curious, not that the bar itself is bi-curious. Shit, how do I know these things... :coat:

To be fair to our website team, Chris has left the club to pursue a career in badger-baiting and Steve has gone native in Peru and married an alpaca. Nobody will notice any difference in the club website though.

Mandaric confirmed that a deal ‘will eventually happen’.

That's like telling us on here that something will \"eventually\" be on DROS

Why is it, that we are holding the signings confirmation back, very strange, on a side note, a certain bournmouth central defender has signed for a club, but nobody knows who, and can not say who! Weird

Well, I just gfot this from a colleague of mine, who's an avid Wednesday fan:

Despite the whingeing Owls (the two at the bottom are typical of what people have been saying) I think you’ve got yourselves a bargain :-)

Subject: [owls] Re: Re: Tommy forced out by Milan

If we got rid of all the players over the last few years who have been consistently shit then we wouldn't have a had a team and there are players STILL in this squad who will be here whilst Tommy plays at a higher level that are far shitter than he ever was.

He's been the easy target for boo boys and nay sayers for a long time now....whenever we've lost or conceded a goal it's usually been Tommys fault....according to them...never mind the fact that we haven't been able to score goals for very long periods, never mind the fact that he's had to play with wingers who haven't got a clue, never mind the fact he's expected to support those wingers on the overlap yet automatically be back in his full back position when they inevitably lose the ball with him high up the field...he's expected to run forward at every opportunity, he's expected to cross the ball better than anyone else, especially those fookin shit wingers who wouldn't recognise a cross if it bit em on the arse, he's expected to stop the fastest opposition players who mysteriously happen to have wingers who know what to do, he's expected to cover more experienced players at the back who are way out of position or balloon the ball straight up in the air in their own box.

We've had keepers who've had dodgy moments, we've had shit defenders, lazy and shit wingers, non existent centre midifeld and strikers who can't hit a barn door with a banjo, but Tommy Spurr is fookin shit and has can't defend...oh and he's gone backwards apparently since his first season in the first team.

 Well who's going backwards now?

He's playing in the Championship whilst we fook around for at least one more season in Division 3.

The lad couldn't win at this club and this move is a great one for him and Donny Rovers IMO.
He's at a place where the manager will hopefully be able to bring out the best in him, he's at a place where he's wanted and hopefully appreciated, he's at a place where hopefully he can get his career back on track.

I have a lot of time for Tommy, A LOT of time and I think he's been poorly treated by this manager and I wish him well for the future...I HOPE he can recapture his form and more importantly his love for the game...football is at its best when it's played with a smile and there's no smile brighter than Tommys IMO

 Steve:Beastie

forced out by Milan? I think the fact he's been consistently shit is what's forcing him out, yes he's a local lad, come through the ranks, gives 100% etc. etc. but the simple fact is he's a LB who cannot defend, even at L1 level, dozens of goals can be put down to being his fault, getting 200k for him is an excellent deal IMO.

being dumped at Doncaster - £200k fee

rubbish deal
