You have to think with many of those, certainly with the state they were allowed to decay in to, it's a good job they moved on.

Very good. Great music, same bloke (Gustavo Santaolalla, Argentinian) did the soundtrack to Motorcycle Diaries, if anybody wants to hear more.

What amazes me is how many of them I've been to whether watching Rovers or just taking in a game! Amazing really!
To be fair - as awful as the Hillsborough and Bradford disasters were, they've helped clubs (and local councils) to spawn much better (although sometimes much of a muchness and overpriced) facilities! I know many of us get nostalgic about missing BV and some of the common tours of 'yesteryear' grounds like The Showground, Millmoor, Saltergate, Fellows Park, Vetch, Ninian, Boothferry, Springfield etc etc etc, but I'd sooner be where we are now!

Thanks for flagging this on utube.
These grounds were lovely when blokes wore flat caps, smoked woodbines and although loyal to their home town team didn't have that Neanderthal tribal instinct to hit anyone different to themselves. They must have been good days.
But by the 80s all grounds were unwelcoming places, I am glad we really have moved on.
There's also quite a few 'lost beers' on the advertising hoardings, not everyone's cup of tea, but I have fond memories of Hull Brewery Ales as served at the rugby club in Armthorpe in the 70s. .... 13p a pint, so six pints and still enough for some chips on the way home with change from a pound.
