Championship attendancesThese stats would suggest that ‘pound for pound’ we are 11th in the league with our attendance. This is based on average gate / capacity = 66%.

This means that ‘pound for pound’ we currently have better support than Leeds, Middlesborough, Birmingham, Burnley and Ipswich.

I think John must have seen the above and reality has finally dawned on him. We’re reasonably well supported considering that we’ve not had average gates of 15K+ for at least 40 years!

Incidentally, if we (‘never will happen’) combined our resources with the Dingles we would fall to 22nd - 52%

I don't see how you can celebrate that as though its good news, the table that matters is the one below it which shows we are 23rd!

A matter of concern is that we are only attracting just over 3% of the local population to the Keepmoat, Barnsley are achieving over 5%. If we could step up to that level we would need a new stadium!

The 'Legendary' Pins which are under the South and West Stands, these fabled goodies mean we can expand the South stand capacity by 4000 and the West stand capacity by 6000 at the very reasonable prices of £2 million and £4 million respectively

Thing is most of Doncaster doesn't really have much difference in a journey to Sheffield, Leeds or the Keepmoat.  Half the borough is a fair trek from the Keepmoat.  I drive from Leeds every day for work, I'll hit Skellow etc in 20 minutes, then another 25 to get to my house.  It's really not a long drive at all for most of the town and given that we've mostly been shit and others have been top flight/Europe etc what is expected.

I saw the other week we have the biggest proportion of young fans of any football league club.  That must be sustained, but it's a thing that will take time.  Ask our young fans who their Dad's support, many will be Leeds etc but we're getting these kids to support Rovers which is how it should be.

As a boring old accountant I know the truth in the old adage of lies, damned lies and statistics.

On average we attract 3 % of the local population but we can attract 4 pr 5 times that when the conditions are right, I don't expect Cardiff or Wembley type attendances at every league match, but we should and could do better at getting more people to come more often, that as we have debated a thousand times is how the club presents itself and interacts with its local community.

Make the experience an attractive one, onevthat's value for money and people will come!

I believe that if Rovers need to have a stint in the PL for our fanbase to improve now, It worked for the Dingles.
