finally another keeper, only problem is that he is young which means he isnt very experienced though he has played for quite a few teams on loan in lower leagues.

I`m surprised Spurs would want to deal with us after the way we treated Mason

We didn't really treat him that badly I didn't think, he just wanted more games which we wouldn't give him at the time.  HAving said that, Barnes or Mason?

Anyway that's gone, this keeper is much needed and seems to have relegation experience at Plymouth so that should help.  Woods really needs a lower league loan it'd be good for him because I don't think he's a bad keeper just not ready yet.

i think spurs will just be happy that a championship are giving the opportunity for their youth players since most of them go to league 1 and 2 on loan

Coppinger or Mason?

Mason had a much bigger role to play here. Really wasted opportunity for us.

Another good point, Copps has been god awful recently, bar his cross at Burnley. HE seamt incapable of beating a man yesterday.

Button is a very steady keeper, or atleast was in League One. I like him, though he should be cover at first rather than a starter.

He has a bright future ahead of him but not quite up to Championship football week in, week out. Atleast in my opinion anyway.

Still, good signing. (Cracking player for an English 'all bronze' team on Fifa Ultimate Team too :P  )

I hope this lad does well, but I have to say he was a long way short when I saw him play on loan in Conference football.

Tall and a presence, but his decision making was not the best. Saying that, he is a few years older and wiser, and presumably Spurs have kept him on because they think he has the makings.

I'm not sure what Button offers us that Woods doesn't. They are a similar age and Woods has had over 25 Championship appearances. Button has no experience at this level. A bit of a kick in the teeth for Woodsy I'd say.

He's from the same start as Lee Butcher and if that performance was anything to go by, there's hope for us yet.

I think he was in goal for Spurs when we played them in the Carling Cup.

He came on in the 82nd minute. He kept a clean-sheet.

Woods has experience at this level yes, and that experience has shown us he is far, far from good enough. I'd rather have Mark Weavers next door neighbour back in goal.

I don't think Woods is as bad as people make out. He's been the victim of having some right old shite playing in front of him. Keepers need a settled back four to be able to thrive.

He's also really really unlucky, patersons goal on boxing day could have dropped anywhere but dropped straight to a centre forward.

The same shit that was in front of Ikeme though and with him between the sticks we looked a completely different proposition. I'm with the majority on here, Woods is a clown of the first order and shouldn't be anywhere near our first time at this point in time.

If this guy can actually save shots then he'll be an improvement on what we've got.

I think it's unfair to make comparisons with Ikeme as he's a bit older and has had experience in this division before. I just think it's a big gamble chucking someone like Button in who is very similar to what we already have. We need stability and experience to have a chance of survival.

Cant see him playing for them, TBH.  Also, Button seems keen on a season long loan here, so I'd have thought that proposition would have been put to him (assuming he does well in this initial month)
