Found this corker of an excuse on Bladesmad for the reason they lost, apparently the Blades fans had the boiling end, and that`s twice now, they need to get the cool end by coming third in the league!

Quote
Delay the kickoff times for playoffs as it is always a scorching day.
Over 30 degrees at pitchside again yesterday.
Whereas in the second half the commentator said the temperature had cooled.
Give the club that finishes in the higher position the choice of ends twice now they have dumped the boiling end onto the Blades there should be some benefit to finishing in third spot.
It doesn't just affect the fans our keeper and defenders have to squint into that sun.
By the time the second half rolls around the sun is no where near as direct.

"There should be some benefit to finishing in 3rd".

Yes...you got to play the worst ranked team in the play-offs, and you got the home leg second.

God I hate the majority of Sheffield United fans, I was nearly in tears of joy when Simonsen punted the ball into the Thames on Saturday and maybe it was because of how glad I am that those idiots have to watch their 'massive' team in League One again next season.

Blaming the loss on having the hot end of the pitch!? Haha! Heard it all now.

Although the crowd was pretty poor from both sides, Rovers only took a little over 20,000 to Wembley. I believe the Blades had 27,500 and Huddersfield 21,500, very surprised at the Huddersfield following.
