Two signing's i'd like to see
« on November 11, 2012, 02:13:52 am by Sammy Chung was King »
How about these two,for a couple of new signing's that would improve and add more of a goal threat to our side?,I'd love to see Joe Garner come in from Forest,he's been loaned out to Carlisle, but is a very good striker why not so much money plus Coppinger?,the other one i'd like to see Joel Grant,a fast and tricky winger, can also play up front,he's at Wycombe surely he wouldn't cost fortunes.

Yes your right pubteam,i forgot he left Forest,i don't think he's particularly wanted there,i wouldn't see him costing that much either.

We should have been in for Garner as soon as Billy went. Seven goals so far this season is it?

Billy Sharp for me is almost irreplaceable,Garner is of a similar standard, and is definitely worth signing,i'd say around the two hundred and fifty thousand mark at most, wage wise we must be able to afford him,to get out of this division you need two regular scorers up front or a midfielder or winger that chips in regular,Joel Grant for me is another worth signing, quick feet, plenty of speed, plays on either wing,or up front, capable of beating a player or two,he's at Wycombe and is well capable of stepping up a division, and coming north wouldn't be a problem  he was at Crewe before in the past.

For me we've got plenty of good  players for this level just lack a couple of players with pace now Bennett's out. We've got no outlet when we're under the cosh. The problem is players with pace cost a premium unless you can pick up a rough diamond on the cheap.

How many times have you seen either of these in the flesh?

I've just signed Joel Grant on FIFA13 and he's keeping Kyle Bennett out of the team!

Well he is on a 5 second snippett on the FL Show isn't he? Which appears to be where SCIK gets his info from.

I Haven't seen either of them in the flesh this season,Joe Garner i've seen play against us in the championship a few times, and was impressed with him, plus a few live games on tv,plus highlights,Joel Grant is mostly highlights and the odd live game on tv,so no i'm not an expert on either of them, they are just two players that i've always rated highly,i thought Garner was as near to Billy as we could get,i obviously rate Billy a lot higher, and thought he was well undersold for his ability,a lot of signings at all different clubs are signed,by agents sending cds of there best performances, the reason i think Garner would be a good signing i've already made,he did pretty well at Watford, before Zola's foreign revolution,at Forest he didn't really get a sustained run if i remember, and he did well at Carlisle, just my opinions.

The thing with highlights SCWK, is they tend to show the best bits of the games! There is no possible way of knowing how good an all round player they might be, just from watching highlights!

But if they regularly feature in highlights, it suggests that they are regularly involved in the best bits of the game, so must be quite good.

You've both got a point LINCrover and pubteam, just two good players from what i've seen over the last three or four seasons.

So the people in the highlights from the Dog & Duck v Horse & Groom must be quite good too.

Yeah, they regularly feature on the Football League Show, don't they?
