Gutted
« on January 01, 2013, 05:05:04 pm by MachoMadness »
Absolutely gutted, feels like a defeat. To have all those chances, cpuld've been 5-6 up by the time they got a penalty. Very fortunate Blades, a penalty and a harsh looking red card, and of course the cheating ginger one had to score. Absolutely gutted. Can't fault the players but bemoaning our luck tonight.

It was a tough result to take. I said all week I'd take a point today, its just the manner in which it happened. That's probably the best we've played at home all season, usually we walk away saying the opposition weren't clinical enough; today was the opposite. Still only 1 game and plenty more left. Sheff United weren't that impressive and I doubtthey will stay in the promotion spots.

Thats football we dominated and were unfortunate not to take all 3 losing Hume cost us because he stopped all the play at the back! They should have had a penalty which was inside the box bit to be fair there man should have gone when we won our penno ironic that paynter walked when 80% of fouls today were against him feels like a loss but its another unbeaten! Weve played worse and won onwards and upwards

Yeah, it's only one game, and I would've been happy with a point but having seen the way the game unfolded makes it doubly gutting. We could've thrashed them today, they can count themselves very lucky indeed that two big decisions went against us. Did they even have a real chance before the penalty? I can't remember one.

The penalty to me looked 50/50, you see them given but at the same time if it wasn't given they couldn't really complain. The sending off was clumsy but not malicious, no way a red card. On a positive note, if we play like that at home every week we'll cruise to the top of the league. Syers was immense again. Hume was tireless and could've had a hat trick.

Absolute travesty of a result, it was sickening how we didn't win that. If we'd have won 5-0 no one could've had any complaints. Everything went against us in the last 15 minutes; the penalty (debatable), Hume going off, the red card (again debatable) and the continued existance of that prick Dave 'Elbows' Kitson.

Sheffield were shocking though, a positive to take is that despite the result we are streets ahead of them and we will be above them come May. Their defender Kennedy (I think) is probably the worst defender I've ever seen.

The only chance they had was a free kick that woods made an excellent save from

What riles me even more than throwing away 2-0 is the fact that it was that absolute Kitson and then he had the guile to sprint along the front of the west and make a total arse of himself.

f**king despise him. It was written in the stars that he'd equalise.

Deano sounds as gutted as I feel. Out and out says their player dived for the penalty, I didn't think it was a dive but then again I haven't seen it again like he has.

Apparently "taking action" re the ref, whether that's just the appeal or something more I don't know.

You could tell how pissed off he was with the way he laid into the water bottles. Can't blame him.

I thought it was a penalty a very soft one mind but Jones or giffin should have just put it out for a corner, but then again the ref should have sent there keeper off so he was weak

If its more than we'll end up with a fine. You can't speak ill off a ref even if they were appalling.

I noticed Deano took the smart option and disappeared down the tunnel rather than have a slanging match with the cock in yellow.

Just seen the goals. I'd say there's was a penalty. Sending off? Not in this world.
Their keeper should have gone. No other players behind him, despite what the blunts claim.

Its football ....they were right with what they were singing 2-0 and we f***** it up 2-0

But dont be too down - if you need cheering up just think back to the recent visit of the form team of the division Brentford whose players were strewn all over the pitch at the end wondering how they had battered us from start to finish and walked away with "nowt"after our two wonder goals !

Its football - just wish the ginger cheating excuse of a man had not scored the equaliser

It has also to be pointed out that some of those first team regulars were dropped after their poor performance against Hartlepool.

They can't have it both ways.

I've seen their pen. It did make me think, have I ever seen Gary Woods go the right way when facing a penalty? I'm not sure I have.

He always goes to the floor as does the ball eventually so he actually always goes the right way !    :clapping:
