I think it's the lad who scored two against Scunny- Nathan Thomas.

Came down to watch the 2nd half (still ongoing) few very good saves from maxted in this half, griffin playing very well at RB, maybe worth a short term deal as cover for full backs? Looks fit and can maybe do a job for us. Bennett looks ok but still looks a bit Lightweight, paynter looks ok but seems to be shooting when he could maybe pass it but hey he is a striker. Also we had a lad in number 11 not sure who he was but looked decent and had a run in him

I've just looked up Nathen Thomas, he is a midfielder who was signed to a two year apprenticeship in 2011. He has had a loan spell at Darlington and now looks to be off the Sunderland books and looking for a team.

very pleasing to hear de Val is back .. and scored in top corner from free kick . With Wellens on 4 yellows he will no doubt get his chance over next few weeks .

I really think De Val and Forrester will take us up another notch when they get their chance.

Hopefully we'll see some real exciting football and cause even more damage than we've caused already. Of course it's all about results but there's nowt better than seeing us win well and with flair.

De Val is pure quality.  Not necessarily a 100% Wellens type, but I'm sure he will be a fans favourite when he gets his chance.

Are we thinking that Wellens is not being signed up fully due to De Val's imminent return or are we looking to retain both?
