Scores on the doors tonight
« on October 25, 2013, 10:36:06 pm by tommy toes »
Turnbull.. 5. Made some good saves but at fault for at least two of the goals
Wabarra ..1 If he's a Championship footballer I'm a piece of cheese. Clueless.
Quinn..3 I like Quinny and he may have ben injured early on so I'll forgive him for being poor.
Furman.. 2 Awful, cant seem to pass the ball forwards and gives it away too often.
Rob Jones..5 Usual stuff from Rob, won lots of headers but exposed by the quick Boro forwards.
Khumalo.. 5. Didn't seem to do much wrong, covered for Jones a lot.
Keegan..3 Gave it away consistently, didn't get in the game much and looked slow.
Duffy.. 6 Along with Copps looked the most likely to make something happen, ultimately he didn't.
Robinson..2 Looked disinterested and mardy. Hopeless.
Brown..7 worked his socks off throughout won the headers and hit the post.
Coppinger..6. At least he got forward a bit and looked dangerous now and again. But his perennial failure to pass the ball to a hooped shirt in the box once again showed why he never played in the prem.
Yun looked a better player than Wabarra when he came on, but so would I have.
Cotterill put in a good cross for Brown to hit the post, need more of that from him.
Midfield was the problem tonight, they and Wabarra gave the ball away all the time resulting in a bad defeat which could have been much worse.
Lessons need to be learned quickly.

Turnbull- 5. Mixed bag. Good shot stopping but poor decision making.
Quinn- 4. Injured early on but still let Carayol come inside too easily.
Wabara- 3. At fault on the first two goals, possibly the third too. Worst game he's had.
Jones- 5. Struggled with the pace of the forwards but battled gamely and got some good blocks in.
Khumalo- 5. Didn't do a lot wrong but didn't seem to be involved a lot when we were under the pump.
Furman- 4. Was a weak link in a poor midfield.
Keegan- 4. Another whose worst performance of the season it was. Seemed to drift around aimlessly. Probably missed Wellens.
Duffy- 7. The one positive threat going forward.
Coppinger- 5. Got into some great positions but consistently poor final ball.
Brown- 6. Worked his socks off as usual but was easily dealt with by Woodgate.
Robinson- 3. Amazed he lasted the whole game. Looked uninterested.
Yun- 5. Has a left foot so will be an improvement when gets used to the team. Left his man too easily on 3rd goal.
Cotterill-6. Didn't do a lot but put one belting cross in.

Turnbull. solid, never stood a chance behind that dogshit
Quinn.    sorry son f**k off back to cowdenbeath or the like
Wabara. would gladly pay for his ticket back to manc
Jones. 100% but ultimately a league 1 player
Khumalo. not big or strong enough
Coppinger. sorry james you're not and never will be good enough for this league. ask forest, you've got away with it for too long. lacks pace and that's one thing you need.
Duffy. signed on the evidence of 1 game last season. best of a bad bunch
Furman. poor
Keegan. without wellens you get this. shocking
Brown. worked his nads off, no support or supply
Robinson. might as well be f**kin' Theo Huxtable, why have we spend in excess of £100k on this kid, and what the kitson has barn door Billy done wrong

Esdaille that's why we got Robinson,he's a hit and miss player, who has purple patches then has a run of games that don't produce much, for me are not playing as a team and too many are off form at the same time.

Turnbull He had very little chance behind a defence, midfield, forward line that were all struggling, and made a few saves that stopped it getting truly embarrassing
Quinn A Whole hearted player, but is not a Championship defender any more
Wabara Inconsistent good and bad learning the game, will develop into a decent top of Championship, average Premier league player
Jones can get away with it against the poorer side's in the division, but against the best struggles, but still the best centre-half we have
Khumalo A Good defender, pretty solid but does get caught out,and is having to cover Jones' lack of pace.
Keegan A Solid player that gives 100% but isn't good enough for this league, not the most mobile,no pace, lacking in passing ability
Furman same as Keegan
Wellens Not the player he was when he was with us before, but the ability is still there, far and away the best we have, without him,we are very ordinary
Coppinger I Hate saying this, but i think he has gone backwards over the last two seasons,he hasn't got it any more
Duffy has a lot of positives, but can't sustain his influence on a game, needs to work harder to get consistency in his game
Cotterill 'The King of Assists' has had the ability all his career, but again produces in fits and bursts, needs to work harder
Brown Always puts a shift in for the team, but is not really a goal threat,he's a team player who puts the team before himself
Robinson Has got the ability, needs to work harder, when everything is going for him unplayable, but when it's not is very little use to the team

Turbull = 5 positioning and commandment not up to scratch
Quinn = 6 didn't do too much wrong despite getting cleaned out knee high in first 2 mins. No booking? Come on ref,
Wabara = 2 An apology for a defender
Jones = 4 Struggling to do the basics well and didn't organise as well as he should do,
Khumalo - 4 No mans land too many times
Furman = 5 Went through motions
Keegan = 4 Poor game by his standards
Copps = 7 Only player to attempt to play Championship standard football
Duffy - 6 drifts in and out of the game. The new John Oster.
Robinson - 2 headless chicken
Brown = 7 let down badly by those around him.
