Final score. Doesn't appear to be anyone hammering on the first team door, although it seems Maxted had a decent game in goal.

That was exactly my first thoughts when the reserves got beat 3-0 at Rotherscrap last week. And reading the report it could have been a lot more.
So if anyone was wondering if any of the reserves are ready to make the big step up.................................

What about Fernandez is he better than what we have got in midfield?

Went last night and we we poor all over the pitch, granted we had a few youth lads in but nobody playing bar maybe Griffin would get anywhere near the first team.

Middleton looks one for the future but him, Wakefield, Peterson could do with a loan somewhere.

What was Fernandez like?

Showed a few nice touches but didn't do an awful lot, maybe he's not fully fit but we were playing Mansfield reserves and I was expecting a bit more. Dare I say looks a bit of a luxury player, might do better alongside Wellens and not Harper.

Looking at the highlights, Maxted seems to have come on a bit. His positioning looks pretty good and he made some good saves.

Be interesting to see if griffin plays any part at Barnsley now with the current injuries
