Unusual likes/dislikes...
« on December 31, 2013, 04:54:45 pm by Bentley Bullet »
I expect a bit of controversy here but I don't mind Piers Morgan and Jeremy Clarkson, despite them being much maligned by the media 'in crowd' people.....Perhaps its my dislike of the media in crowd that forces my hand!

Probably more controversial is my dislike of......Motown! It's recycled one beat, new lyrics put to old tunes, same backing band producing an underwater speakers sound makes my teeth itch.

who else has unusual 'media unfriendly' likes/dislikes?

Kirsty Alsop....Smug multi millionaire promoting trash porn.. She irritates the hell out of me.

I don't get Miranda either.........But the one thing I loathe more than anything on tv is the one thing on a perpetual loop.... Bloody Murder She Wrote.

Graham Norton really is as annoying as Graham Linehan presented his character in Father Ted. Alan Carr isn't much better, it's not so much the camp but the relentless hyperactive unfunniness.

Ususally I'd agree on Stacey Soloman. That type of person generally irritates the shit out of me but there's something I can't help finding endearing about her. I bet she's a right dirt bag in the bedroom too!

The one person I really can't stand on the box at the moment is that talentless bag, Sarah Millican. She's got two lines: "I'm a sad divorcee" and "I can't walk past a baker's window without getting dewy eyed over their range of cakes". Single-handedly putting wonmen in comedy back 40 years and she's on bloody everything. Shite. Utter f**king shite.

I'm not a lover of Motown, soul or what is now called R'n'B (I love the Dr Feelgood style of R'n'B though). It just goes in one ear and out of the other and doesn't register with me at all.

The odd thing with me is that the smell of sherry makes my stomach heave. Even just the smell of a sherry trifle will do it.

Stacey Solomon is a sweetheart. When you think how up their own arses some of the reality ' stars'  are she seems to remain refreshingly unspoiled. Most unusual.
I love David Walliams

Saint Gary Barlow tax evading tory lover makes me want to vomit...

Rhianna and Miley Cyrus need hosing down. Miley's parents need a good slap for encouraging her.

- Mrs Brown's Boys & Miranda get the vote from me too.
- Gary Barlow, total charisma vacuum, but nations sweetheart. Bet he can't believe his luck getting another bite at stardom, can't wait till it all goes tits up again and he eats himself fat and miserable.
- Noel Edmonds. Sinister.

Mrs. Brown's boys gets a firm thumbs down from me too. It's basically a bloke in a dress saying "feck" a lot. I saw loads if people raving about it on Facebook and tuned in for ten excruciating minutes.

A bit old, but Seinfeld was a crock of dried up white dogshite. It was supposed to be comic gold. Aye well. I don't know how thick you had to be to be unable to see the jokes coming.

They played it like this:

Set up a scene with some obvious comedic premise (e.g. Whether Seinfeld's amply endowed new girlfriend's tits were plastic or not)

Serve the set-up line in as laboured a way as possible. (Friends all telling him that they were plastic, and because she was a pain in the arse in every other way, he should dump her.)

Point out that the punch line was coming, lumbering over the f**king hill like a Diplodocus with a broken leg carrying a skyscraper on its back with a big f**king neon sign at the top flashing "HERE COMES THE PUNCHLINE" (Seinfeld agonising after dumping her that maybe her tits were real.)

Delivery of punchline with as much aplomb as said herbivorous Goliath farting. (Seinfeld finds out that her tits were real.)

Laugh? Did I f**k.

Nick 'Grimmy' Grimshaw - talentless gonk with the most annoying voice.

Louie Spence - just creeps me out, not sure if he is even human.

Anybody in or appearing on Strictly come Dancing (except Tess Daly - for obvious reasons.)

The stunning blonde bird on I'm a celebrity after show - please just keep your mouth shut and it would be great.

not an exhaustive list but you get the idea!

Now THIS made me laugh more than Seinfeld ever did.

Bloody hell, you'd better not travel in my car then. Santa brought me a cd of 100 great Northern Soul classics, so for the next few months my journeys up to the Keepmoat are going to sound like an all-nighter at Wigan Casino.

Re Mumford and Sons, I loved this quotation:

"Class is a big issue here, and some people get picked on more than others. I think we probably do," says banjo player Winston Marshall in a new interview with Q magazine. "I mean, it doesn't help that we wear waistcoats and tweed the whole time."

"But there is a reverse snobbishness in England towards that sort of stuff."

He also reveals that the class system in the UK affects the band to the extent where they prefer performing overseas than on home turf, adding: "I think that's one of the reasons we really enjoy America, 'cos we're classless."

Err... no, we don't like you in the UK because you're s**t!

How on earth did they get to headline on the Sunday night at Glasto last year?
I would have been back in my tent if my daughter hadn't have wanted to see if "they were any better than the 1st time we saw them" Dear oh dear.
And as for Susanna Reid what a useless bit of totty she is!

Mark E Smith hates Mumford And Sons too!

Mark E Smith of The Fall has spoken out about his beef with Mumford and Sons.

The iconic frontman took against the band at a festival in Dublin two years ago after they started a backstage singalong.

Speaking to The List, Smith recalled the incident, saying:
I was talking to the promoter who's a mate of mine and said, 'look, don't take the piss. You've stuck us next to some mongoloid Irish folk band.' The promoter turns around and says, "they're number one in your English charts." I thought he was f**king joking. They started clopping about singing, sounded like they were dancing on the tables - so I told them to shut the f**k up.
