So...who's going to go No.1 tonight ?

Got to be Eric Fisher for me, the Chiefs need to bolster their line to protect Andy Reid's lovechild, Alex Smith

It's pretty close between him and Luke Joeckel, but I think Fisher is more ready to play

There were a few picks I didn't predict.... EJ Manuel ?? How must Ryan Nassib feel having been coached by Doug Marrone...only to be snubbed by the new Bills HC ??

As for Geno......... :s

Geno Smith taken by the Jets.  That will just further cause speculation as to Sanchez's future.  I'm also surprised by the Bills taking EJ Manuel, especially when they signed the albeit inconsistent Kevin Kolb in the offseason.

Also, Menelik Watson of Florida State, a lad from Manchester, taken by my Oakland Raiders :)

When the Marshall Plan was rejected by Eastern European countries in the late-40s, the Bulgarian Foreign Minister explained the logic. He said. "With the financial aid will come cultural imperialism. Imagine. One day you might turn on your radio and hear nothing but American culture."

In Britain, we were never quite submerged by the tsunami of Yanqui cultural imperialism, but every time we start going apeshit over the bizarre alien apparition that is Super Bowl, I'm with the 1947 Bulgarians.

Who would have imagined though that it would be old fashioned, victorian, English football that would emerge as the global sport of choice?

the Americans might have the cultural hegemony with junk food, jeans, TV, Cinema and music sewn up but for most of the globe their version of football is as difficult to grasp and as alien as cricket is in America.

The beautiful game is the beautiful game because it's rules are the simplest. They provide a framework for players to express themselves in ways most team games cannot. And best of all it's so easy to understand, five minutes watching of a football match and anyone can grasp pretty much what's going on.

It's a very simple game to understand. You're all under the impression you need to know every little nuance. You don't

SB is just another game when you take away all the decoration. The fabled half time show usually upsets the 'flow' IMO...far too long a break in play.

Heart says Denver...head says Seattle

As a (somewhat gutted) Niner, Bronco's by 3; Sherman beaten to the corner for the winning TD.

My mate and wife live in Greater Denver ... Littleton to be precise (enough said Google it if you don't know - or Columbine High School)

When Channel 4 used to show highlights yonks ago I became a fan of Green Bay Packers BUT when I learned that Denver Broncos fans could go to games and it was 70 degrees F yet go home in the snow they became my Team (after which I met my mate)

He does models of American Footballers and flogs them on E-bay and has sent me a very good one of me as a Punter (I don't think its a c****r) and so for me and especially for him its the Broncos all the way

Hope Rich Karliss has retired !

What a horror show !  I lasted while HT and recorded the rest but wont other looking back on that any time soon

12 Seconds to cough up a score - and it was all downhill from there but that is what makes live sport what it is

I loved it.  Manning's smugness was wiped off his face in the first minute.

I suspect his time is over now. Elway brought him to Denver to do a job..which he almost did. But he's 37 now and in reality, Football is a young man's sport. Can he do it again next year ? I don't think he'll get the opportunity.

The 2014 Draft is going to be QB heavy.....

It is a young mans game and he is cooked now and looked it

I suspect that the pundits were right that given the correct Coin Toss call Seattle deliberately chose to give Broncos the ball so they could show them exactly what they (Seattle) were made of

By god it worked even though the first score was freakish I suppose. Don't know how many Safety's are conceded as Season but probably not that many

Then Denver held Seattle to Field Goals for a while but were just so ineffective when they had the Football that I was convinced it was game over or certainly "writing was on the wall" by the end of the first quarter. I lasted only till HT and recorded just in case a miracle occurred while I was asleep. I did not and my Denver QB model looks very sick this morning !

The one thing you can look forward to is getting the spine of the Defence back next season...Von MIller, Chris Harris and Kevin Vickerson to name 3
