Really? Didn't think he was that good, kept coming way out and not winning the header, plenty of skewed clearances too. If i had to single out one player it would probably be Coppinger did well in an unfamiliar position.

Watford having the player sent off allowed Copps to come out a bit more into his normal position

Agreed Quinn was excellent. A proper leader at the back,  always organising and talking to the other lads. Scared the living shite out of me when he passed it square across our box between the two advancing Watford players in the first 10 minutes,  mind. I guess he was the coolest person n the stadium at that point.

Funny,  especially as Watford had 2 of the 7 dwarves playing.

I saw them walk off at the end, neither of them was happy.

Depending on how you pronounce his name, the centre-back partnership should be called the 'Meite-Quinn' - and the older ones amongst you will tell you of the Manfred Mann song ready made for them.......

All those years and I never knew that RR - many thanks. Interesting that Dylan allowed MM to release it (and reach nr1 in the UK)  without releasing it himself for several years - did he not rate his own song for some reason?

Still reckon it would be a great song for Meite-Quinn

Dylan has often been an enigma, giving good songs away and refusing to allow the record company to use a lot of good tracks on some of his albums because they "didn't fit" the style of album he was creating. Manfred Mann actually recorded quite a number of Dylan songs he also gave hits to Adele, Olivia Newton John amongst others

Totally agree Dutch.  Start with a well known catchy tune then people only have the words to learn.  Then if the lyric has a hook close to the original as with your idea it's bound to be a winner, just like the Rob Jones song.

I too thought Quinny was fantastic last night.
My MOTM, followed by Copps. And let's not forget, both of them were playing out of position.

Quinn can play as centre half though let's remember. He played there regularly for one of his ex clubs.
