I was only 7 when Nan died so I don't really remember the family names down there, I'll ask my Dad but you tend to have to pick your moments with him now.
Nan always wore one of them Pinniesyou know those that covered the back and front a sort of swirly pattern on it, your about 10 years older than me

On Saturday my 3 1/2 year old Grandson will be making attending his first Rovers game , with his Grandad , Great Grandad and Uncle , he already recognises the badge and shirt and has been asking for months to come with us , don't know if he will stick the full game but I'm sure it's the first of many visits. So welcome young Oliver to the Rovers Family. :rtid:

My tip is document everything with Photos Score Attendance Opponent etc

In 56 or 57 (see what I mean) I watched my first ever Rovers game v a Team in Black and White stripes .... and that is all I know

When I took my Great Nephew to Belle Vue for his first game I took several photos and produced him a framed record with everything on it. He will know and have photos of Rovers v Rovram 3-1 and all the scorers etc

Recommended (just wish I had something similar)

Glad he enjoyed it mate, good to see that he stuck it out until (almost) the bitter end, there's a few older Rovers that should take a leaf from his book!

Nice one. You can't beat getting the little uns involved. That naive enthusiasm.

My 7 year old has been coming on and off for 4 years. He's besotted with "Browny". If we've played and he hasn't gone to the match, his first question is " Did Browny score?"

Sorry me and Idler nearly hijacked the thread  it wasn't intentional we've gone on using the pm system now! Idler thought it for the best which I agree with
