Cat. Pigeons. Looks like Yeovil down and 6 of us scrapping over the other 2 places then.

Understand your take on it DtD, there's various ways of looking at it and all are valid.  Ordinarily the draw would be the best outcome and still might be but I think drfc1951 made a very valid point about Charlton playing Blackpool last game.  We don't need Charlton on the sunbed for that game.

Just looking at the league table something different occurred to me. When we've stayed up previously we've been flat track bullies and gained a lot of our points from the sides in the bottom three.
However this year, in 9 games against the 5 teams below us, we've only won twice, drawn 4 and lost 3.
That's why we've struggled despite decent results against better sides.

Good god it is really close down there. All the bottom six have pretty much exactly the same goal difference aside from Millwall, which is only a few goals worse. This is going to be a painful few weeks.

Best result for me,, if Blackpool and Charlton are still both below us going into the last game,, would make it almost impossible for us to go down.
Barnsley are still 4 points behind us, with only 4 games to go

I'd rather us win a few points than rely on other results to 'save' us.

I said it t'other year and I'll say it again, if we go down it's because we simply haven't been good enough. Forget dodgy decisions, injuries, takeovers etc... Etc...

Not negative, just saying ;)

Burnley win pre our game would be massive, keeps Blackpool down there and means Derby don't have much to play for

:clapping: :clapping:Don't worry, the bottom 3 will not win one game between them to season end.

Ooops. No wonder I never win "Pools"
