And they still didn't win the league despite a much higher expenditure and wage bill compared to us.  We've never had a wage bill that big in the Championship, let alone league 1 - madness.

Yes,  but we want them to beat the Wall heavily on Saturday,  so money well spent I say!   We can berate them for their financial impunity next week.

Future strategy, sustainable and forward looking. Wages highest expense at the club. Key risk Affecting the club is the achievement of playing success in order to maintain Championship status. Less reliance on external financing in future...

So basically they have to stay in the Championship and they need to bring more money into keep the show on the road, if they don't want the debt to keep rising. A lot more? Probably. What about the debt already sustained?... Ah, well there are improved budgeting techniques...

Still, at least they're showing 'ambition'!

That's quite something (and it puts a certain £20m into perspective, I guess). I was always led to believe that their finances were managed thanks to come *cough* very creative advertising and sponsorship via Denim's other businesses and interests.

Presumably, their expenses will have increased for this period to July 2014? Either way, they've made a better fist of the Championship, fought off any interest from other club's for their star performers *and* brought in some rather tasty-looking young players who're regarded as potential stars of the future. After years of being in the mire, it looks like the good times are back for 'em. Fair play to 'em, their fans have had it bad for long enough and £15m is chump change for their owner.

If the intention is to find external sources to cover this kind of budget in future, then that is quite some challenge for a club the size of Bournemouth.

That's the bit that surprised me. The rumour going 'round was that Denim was funding it via "creative" deals with his other companies and interests - hence Goldsands and the like.

Denim wants Prem football by all accounts, so he's not thinking of dumping them any time soon. And, but for a point or two, they very nearly put themselves in with a shout of reaching play-offs this weekend. If only they hadn't beaten, say, Charlton recently. 

Saw 'em play Leicester when they were down here. They easily matched Leicester all over the park apart from the final third, which they totally bottled. I said at the time that if they sorted that out (and Yann Kermorgant has gone some way to doing that) they could be a top 6 team on that showing.
