Don't seen 2 mins since we played Worksop in a friendly a few years ago and the away fixture where John Ryan come on as a second half sub, how times chance and how money is a key factor in the beautiful game in this day and age, RIP to both.

Didn't Worksop have a successful season the one just gone? I'm sure I saw something about them making the play odds.. What went wrong?

worksop will be playing in the same league as armthorpe welfare this coming season... their moneybags owner quit the team at the end of the season and without ownership of sandy lane any longer, were left high and dry... no money, no team, no ground... jan budtz was their goalkeeper last season, now at gainsborough trinity for the coming one  ;)

The owner of the ground Howard Raymond was never interested in football, just the value of the land. For those of a certain age he is the late Paul Raymond,s son

I'm sure Leicester fans have already taken over their Facebook group and set up an alliance with them.

Pete Whitehead, owner of Parramore FC. Hence their recent ground share.

They've merged with Handsworth and are looking at having a brand new ground built in that neck of the woods.

I don't know what the plan is for Sandy Lane but I know Pete spent a fair bit of money on it after the previous owner neglected it. It would be a shame to see it not being used for football any more.

Having had a quick look at their website, I see that Worksop will be playing at SL next season. I would guess that they're paying token rent on the ground.

Looks like Salisbury will be expelled then.  Yet another club spoilt by owners and flawed takeovers.  It'll take a big club to go before anything serious gets done.
