I've got zero problem with us losing players to Championship sides, I don't blame them one bit. It's where we are losing them to Lge1 rivals that makes me worry.

Out of the frying pan into The fire , but a least he'll get a decent wage.

Not fussed about Clarke if he signs he signs he don't he don't. I'd prefer us to go for someone a bit younger who has got more games in them and more years

I'm not so sure. You need experience at the back. Think our back 4 in our last l1 visit. One of the best in the league. Well worth a 2 year deal imo.

Jamie and Rob may struggle with there backs and neck. Clarke is in the same mould as Rob. Well he doesn't eat nails like. But you get my drift.

Still think that its too big a risk for Jones to go back playing and especially heading the ball
So I expect him NOT to play for DRFC again

Graingrover i spoke to Rob Jones on Tuesday and he told me he was hoping to be back this week.
I also asked him about Mcombe and he said he had a few niggles after being out so long but not serious and not a recurance of his back injury, and was hoping to be back in two to three weeks.

Clarke would be a good signing we can't be relying on McCombe and Jones with there injuries, surprised he turned Blackpool down considering he's played there before they really are in a mess.

Clarke is as near as you get to Rob Jones without needing to clone him, admittedly not as tall :coat:,leadership, winning headers, dominating a back four,it would be nice if he just bought a stick of rock and came back to his new home.

If Jones and McCombe were fully fit we would not need Clarke. But at this moment in time Jones needs clearance he can go into fully contact training and McCombe who had worked all summer with fitness coach to be ready has got some niggles which means a scan. Therefore if on our budget we could afford Clarke we should sign him.

It'll be a massive bonus if we sign someone of Peter Clarke's calibre. Does anyone think he & McCombe could re-live their 'Uddersfield days and be a decent CB partnership?

I like the idea but not at the cost of a fit Rob Jones

I think you mean he hopefully has an all clear scan today, otherwise what's the point of having one if it's an all clear scan

Wonder what time Robs scan was? Getting a bit late now thought we might have heard something, just hope it's not bad news  :(

Signed for Blackpool.

What's the deal with Khumalo? Injured still? Is he still under contract at Spurs? Can't see any championship clubs wanting him

I dont think he will be back playing for some months yet.  His injury was a bad one.

His injury was similar to the one that finished McSporrans career
