Amazing stat
« on August 26, 2014, 09:56:58 pm by Dutch Uncle »
Tonight was the first time in Rovers entire Football League Cup history that we have won an away match after the first round

By the way 2 years ago we beat York in the first round and then Championship opposition (Hull) in Round 2. Would be happy if the rest of the season panned out the same....

If you mean against Lincoln at Forest in 76-77 Bob - that was a first round 2nd replay

We have won ties in later rounds where we were drawn away - but that was always via an away draw and winning a home replay

Oh.

I thought that match at the City ground was the second round. Never mind. Still, that game did see the very first use, ever, of a penalty shoot out. We won it. And I saw us do it :):) Bet there's not many others on here with that claim to fame :D

My first game was the next round against Derby at home, lost 2-1.

Lincoln at Forest!

Dennis Peacock had a blinder in goal, unless the memory is playing tricks.
Great night that was.

 Thanks BST

The way of the world eh? I put up a very simple stat which takes less than a minute to research and there's likes and adulation making me look twice to see if I had signed it LT or some such

I spend ages writing a Rovers related poem Dylan Thomas would have been proud of after a gentle night out in New York (OK I confess it was ripped off from Leonard Cohen) and no f**ker reads it :crying:

Stats it is then   :coat:
