I had 3 hours worth of pretty serious spinal surgery the other day, now back home, succesful as far as we can tell at the moment including bone grafts and stuff. so I'm laid up for a while!

Poor love, hope you are on the mend soon. Back problems are utterly miserable and much misunderstood by too many who think they are the excuse to swing the lead.

You have as always my sympathies.xx

Thanks all

IC differences aside Thanks

BST you toucha ma back you me goes through the roof

Roversdude, Me and Steve (hoola) have had loads of conversations/banter about the state of our backs over the last couple of years.

Jucy,  Thats one thing we'll never disagree on although some will and do swing it, but when you've got mri scans (and even they don't always prove the full extent of the damage as mine  proved to be ) theres no real argument, and they don't do spinal surgery just for the hell of it!!

Oslo, your just after a buxom lass in stockings and high heels walking over your back

Cheers All

So true, as I've told you before, both my dad and my brother had/have dreadful back problems. Hopefully this time they have you sorted out.x

I remember you saying about your Dad and brother,  its the second time I've had surgery in the same place in 4 years, last ditch attempt this time!

Good luck with it Dagger. I've had back trouble so bad that I've would have  wanted to die if it had been like that permanently. But I've always known that it was acute rather than chronic, so it would fade over a few days/weeks. I can't imagine what it's like having severe back trouble that never goes away. Here's hoping that yours is sorted this time.

Good luck from me too Daggers. I have huge sympathy since I get a spasm about once every two years or so, nothing medically serious and physio sorts  it out - but it is totally debilitating when it happens. I really hope this op sorts it out properly for you.

Best wishes from me too. I also have some appreciation of back problems; several days in hospital and a lot of time off work after a nasty injury playing Rugby League.
