Listening to that, I think I must have been in a different stadium last night

My head says I know he has got to be positive otherwise it will bring the confidence down even lower. But I really hope he is also being more honest with the players.

The man is totally deluded.
I wonder of he reads this forum so he can see what the fans think? I doubt it somehow.

As for not getting us relegated: I remember all the usual suspects coming on here in March shouting everyone down who had wanted him out at Christmas 'Told you so' 'We won't get relegated' etc etc. We did

For me, the only positive that Dickov brings is his ability to get big(ger) name players than we previously could (the experiment aside).

Turnbull, Wabara (yeah I know), Johnstone etc...

However, if you can't use those players to get the right result then it's pointless having them - literally.

So deluded. I can't believe he pats himself on the back so much for a clean sheet when we were up against a side that looked seriously lacking in quality and didn't really attempt to attack us all evening.

As for all these 'missed chances' and 'brilliant saves' - none of that happened until the last few minutes when they were down to 10 and we had no choice but to bombard them because they had everybody back in their own half anyway!

On that note - how difficult would it have been for us to have signed Ashdown for this season? He's nothing special but he's a solid enough keeper at this level and has a fair bit of experience.

Like has been said, what he says publicly won't be what he says in private

Correct a needs a few more games, what gets me is people who solely blame the manager when the players are clearly not performing

Its easier to replace 1 man than replacing a squad though. I looked at the bench last night and I do have sympathy for him on that front, but there are managers out there who could get our first 11 performing to their ability. He cant do this now and Christmas is too late IMO. I think Mid October latest. Get someone new in if things are no different, let them assess the squad until Christmas, then they will have a good idea as to which positions need looking at in the loan/transfer windows.

Were better than this and we need someone to make a change. Unfortunately, its the managers job to do this and he isn't doing the trick.

You have to factor in that we have a limited budget and Curtis Main was chosen as the front man, with Robinson and Tyson as back up. It's like having signed the 3 Degrees and Diana Ross gets laryngitis - it's hardly the managers fault.

Midfield is an issue too, I don't think Dickov has worked it out. We've options there but somehow it doesn't seem clear what they are. IMO we MUST play De Val more often. I'd also be looking at more regular substitutions in midfield.

Spot on BBR. De Val must be wondering what he has to do to get a game, when there is nothing special keeping him out the team. A confidence wrecker in its own right.

And here was me thinking that Diana Ross was a Supreme, that would be the managers fault :)
