Anyone recommend a dishwasher repair man. (or women, he says quickly.)

We always use Phil Hodson 07831 226371.
 Think he only charges a tenner to come out and give you a repair quote.

A good starting point for fixing a dishwasher is to lay it on it's side and let the water drain out, stand it back up and see if it starts, it's worked a couple of times for me in the past, apparently theres some kind of trip function if theres too much water left in the machine

I'm not is sure my missis would appreciate that method of trying to fix her  :blink:
