Barnsley Fan banned for life for internet comments
« on October 18, 2014, 12:18:43 pm by bobjimwilly »
BARNSLEY Football Club has banned a fan for life making offensive comments on the internet following the match against Bradford City on Sunday.

The man wrote racist comments on Facebook about Bradford's Pakistani community and also taunted the Bantams about the 1985 Valley Parade fire in which 56 people died.

"We cannot tolerate that sort of behaviour and appropriate action has been taken," said Ben Mansford, Barnsley's chief executive.

"As a club, we totally condemn those comments."

Wonder if it would make some of our own fans think twice?

Doubt it, you have to have the ability to think, doing that once is a big enough challenge for some, never mind twice! :)

Fame or infamy. Some sad people seem to be intent on making a name for themselves, so it's only a matter of time before they push too far.  But a ban probably won't affect their lives, they will continue to infect social media by peddling their bile.
